Kelly Ripa Wants Andy Cohen To Save Her Sinking Show

Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest seem to be making their working relationship work. It’s been a month since he joined Live with Kelly and Ryan. Rumors were swirling that Ryan Seacrest has too many projects as it is. But, Ryan Seacrest has been making a daily commitment to Live! With Kelly and Ryan. He’s even moved his morning radio show, so he can do both jobs in the same studio.

Kelly Ripa is still convinced that Andy Cohen can save her show. While ratings were strong in the first week when Ryan Seacrest became her co-host, that’s not the case for her other show, reports Naughty Gossip. Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are the producers of Logo’s new TV reality series, Fire Island. It follows a group of openly gay men who are looking for love – and partying on the island. The ratings have not been a hit, and she’s looking for Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen to help her out, an alleged insider told Straight Shutter.

Andy Cohen has many successful reality series under his belt. He gave us the Real Housewives franchise on Bravo. He’s even fixed some of the worst shows that appeared on the network. The problem is no one is watching Kelly Ripa’s new show. They probably don’t know that it exists on television. Another problem with the reality series is that the cast is so bad, you don’t know who to “root for,” according to the insider.

Kelly Ripa has to worry about her other show too. It turns out that Live! With Kelly and Ryan has dipped 12 percent in the ratings since Seacrest’s debut, reports The Wrap. Since Seacrest is like watching paint dry, no one is interested in watching the hosts every morning. And the poor ratings are causing them to butt heads already.

Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa may look like they’re good friends. But, they’re not getting along behind the camera. She didn’t want Seacrest to be her co-host in the first place according to various outlets.  Apparently, Kelly was hoping for someone with a little less star power that couldn’t outshine her.

Kelly’s not over the way former co-host Michael Strahan left her stranded in April 2016. She has become a big star of the show ever since that day, but she’s realizing that she’s “not big enough” to boss Ryan Seacrest around. That’s another reason why she wanted to hire someone “less well-known.”

Sounds like both of Kelly Ripa’s shows are sinking. What are your thoughts, CDL readers? Do you think she will get through this bump in the road? Do you think Andy Cohen can help her out? Sound off below in the comments section and check back with CDL for more Kelly Ripa news and updates.
