The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) will reflect on some painful memories. It looks like the loss of Adam (Justin Hartley) will continue to weigh on her. Grief often comes in waves and can last a lifetime. Adam Newman was a huge part of Chelsea’s world and it’s tough to face the idea that he’s no longer in it.
Chelsea will have a particularly rough time during the rest of the holiday season. She’ll undoubtedly wish Adam could be around for Connor (Gunner and Ryder Gadbois) and even Christian (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen). Adam was prepared to let Nick (Joshua Morrow) raise the boy, but who knows what might’ve happened if he’d stuck around? He could’ve had a change of heart about being Christian’s dad.
Regardless, Christian is Adam’s son and she must see his father in him every day. As Chelsea wrestles with the past, she’ll speak to Nick about what she’s dealing with. Naturally, Chelsea will probably leave out the paternity part! She’ll just feel like she needs to talk to someone about Adam and keep his memory alive. Chelsea will know Nick cares and understands what she’s going through.
The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that this week’s conversation, December 25-29, could set up a major revelation for the next one. Could this be the last hint leading up to the paternity bombshell? During the week of January 1-5, Nick and Chelsea’s universe will be disturbed in a big way. That could certainly line up with Nick learning he isn’t Christian’s biological father and discovering Chelsea’s deception.
Whatever the case, trouble’s brewing for “Chick” soon enough. Of course, both the Adam memories and the paternity shocker could be part of a larger picture. There’s no reason for The Young and the Restless to expose all this unless an Adam recast is coming.
This could be Y&R’s return strategy. They could set up a fierce rivalry for Adam to walk back into. If Nick pushes Adam too hard, he could lose custody of Christian. Chelsea could get caught in the middle of their war once Adam made a comeback.
The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that some shakeups are brewing in 2018, so let’s hope Adam Newman will be one of them. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
