The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) world will be rocked as 2018 kicks off. The year will begin with a bang, so Y&R fans should be prepared for a bombshell. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) and Nick’s relationship will be tested thanks to a devastating blow. Their love may not be able to survive all the drama that’s looming.
The truth about Christian’s (Jude and Ozzy McGuigen) paternity will finally come out. The Young and the Restless has been offering clues over the last couple months. Those little hints let everyone know that trouble was brewing. However, there could be a bit of a twist coming up. The big reveal may not play out the way everyone expects.
Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nick have been fighting for what feels like forever. Chelsea even faced a blackmail threat as the war revved up. She feared Victor might expose Christian’s paternity and that concern will linger in the back of her mind. Victor has proven that he can be ruthless when it comes to disloyal family members.
Y&R probably wants us to think Victor will show off his nasty side and make Nick suffer, but that may not be the case. Victor is making significant progress with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and he’ll continue to do so in the coming months. It’s hard to imagine Victor intentionally hurting Nick with the paternity news and Nikki giving him a pass. His viciousness would surely spark another “Niktor” battle.
Since Victor and Nikki will be repairing their relationship, maybe the truth will come out accidentally. Nikki probably wouldn’t blame Victor for keeping this a secret. If she’d been told the truth, she probably would’ve agreed that Christian’s paternity should be kept under wraps. Adam’s (Justin Hartley) gone, so there was no point in causing Nick unnecessary pain.
It’s possible that Nick will overhear Chelsea and Victor talking about the issue. Then again, perhaps some type of medical crisis will tip Nick off. Chelsea’s reaction may tell Nick that she knew more than she’s been letting on. She may decide to explain everything and hope for the best. The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest that Chelsea’s strategy may not pan out.
Regardless, it looks like Nick will have to deal with the fact that Christian isn’t his biological son. Chelsea and Victor’s deception will be a huge problem as well.
