Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abigail (Kate Mansi) will take an unpleasant trip down memory lane. Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) recently took a job as Stefan’s (Tyler Christopher) head of security, so he was bound to run into Abigail at some point. He’s living right under her nose, which means it won’t be long until these two come face to face.
On December 24, Days spoilers say Abigail will face a chilling sight. She’ll gaze into the eyes of the man who held her hostage, kidnapped her baby and tried to kill her. Abigail was terrified and tormented repeatedly during Ben’s reign of terror. He’s the reason she was off her rocker for a while, so he set up pretty much all of Abigail’s problems.
Of course, DOOL viewers know Ben’s a changed man now. He was mentally ill when he went after Abigail and committed several murders. Since then, Ben has received the therapy and medication he needs. With Ciara’s (Victoria Konefal) support, Ben is trying to make amends and be a better person.
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Ben may point that out to Abigail. He’ll undoubtedly apologize and hope he doesn’t bring her any more pain. Ben won’t think they’re ever going to be pals or anything, but he would like to relieve her fears. He’ll want Abigail to feel safe in Salem, but it could be a while before she reaches that point.
That’s not entirely Ben’s fault since Gabi’s almost as bad lately. At least Ben could blame his dark desires on mental issues! Gabi just wanted revenge and took her chance. Abigail hasn’t felt secure in a long time, so learning to trust again should be tough. Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) is about the only person Abigail’s been able to rely on, but more people will come around when the truth comes out.
Despite Ben’s efforts to ease Abigail’s mind, she’ll probably want to steer clear of him. Days spoilers say Abigail will divorce Stefan soon, so she won’t be living at the DiMera mansion for much longer. That’ll cut down on the number of run-ins between Ben and Abby, which should help her as she tries to accept his freedom. Just knowing Ben’s in town will be hard enough!
However, Abigail may understand on some level. She wasn’t in her right mind either when she tied Ben to a bed and set him on fire. Abigail got the help she needed as well, so maybe part of her will think redemption is possible for Ben.
