Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers has some sad news to report about the beloved pet of a popular Days star. Gilles Marini, who portrays lawyer Ted Laurent on the NBC soap, recently announced the sudden and unexpected death of his hen, Coco.
Gilles took to Twitter to pass on the news of Coco’s death. He posted a cute photo of himself with Coco sitting on his shoulder, along with the following message: “Goodbye Coco. :( Thanks for the delicious eggs. You lived a long and cool life. Now enjoy chicken paradise. She was so sweet that evening. I did not know she was saying bye-bye :( #lastphototogether #ripcoco”
Gilles is quite active on Twitter and frequently posts about animal causes and his pets. His family has several birds, but it’s unclear whether Coco was part of a larger chicken flock. It does appear, though that Coco was an important part of the family.
Pet chickens are becoming more popular in urban areas like Los Angeles, and many chicken owners find that they become as attached to them as the family dog or cat. Chickens not only provide their owners eggs, but they provide companionship, too.
