General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Morgan (Bryan Craig) will continue to be a hot topic on the ABC soap. His name is coming up a lot lately, so he’ll be at the center of the drama soon. It appears Nelle (Chloe Lanier) wants Carly (Laura Wright) to believe Morgan survived the explosion. She’ll take additional steps to make it seem that way in the coming weeks.
However, there’s a chance that Morgan really is alive! In fact, it’s possible that he’s already back in Port Charles. GH fans were recently introduced to Detective Chase (Josh Swickard). No one knows much about this newbie yet, so he’s still man of mystery. There could be a good reason for that.
General Hospital may want Chase to be a blank slate so they can expose him as someone else later. In the wacky world of soaps, it’s common for characters to return from the dead. It’s also normal for somebody to come back as a brainwashing victim or someone with memory issues.
With all that in mind, could Chase actually be Morgan?! It’s an interesting option to consider. GH viewers are buzzing about this idea on social media, so it’s worth looking into. The timing is certainly suspicious. Chase suddenly appeared right as Nelle’s scheme revved up. It’d be an excellent opportunity to plop Morgan into the story.
Plus, Chase’s first interactions were with the Corinthos clan. He’s now stuck in a war with Dante (Dominic Zamprona) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) over his treatment of Mike (Max Gail). Michael (Chad Duell) could join the hate bandwagon, too. It’s clear that Chase is on this family’s bad side!
Perhaps that’s another strategic choice. If Chase is really Morgan, it’s smart to put him at odds with his own family – of course Chase doesn’t KNOW he is Morgan and so his treatment of the Corinthos clan isn’t tempered by being a family member. That would make for a more exciting revelation down the road.
This would also throw off Nelle’s grand plan in a giant way She may scramble to come up with another one if Morgan is indeed back from the dead. If brainwashing or memory mapping was involved here, GH could explore who did it this to Morgan as well.
