The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) will shock his family later this week. Thorne (Ingo Rademacher) and Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) will get some stunning news during a visit. It looks like they’ll learn that Ridge intends to make a confession. Ridge will insist that he has to protect someone he cares about.
Naturally, Steffy and Thorne will push for a name. They’ll wonder who Ridge would be willing to take the fall for. The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Ridge will eventually admit it’s Quinn (Rena Sofer). He’ll sense that Detective Sanchez (Jeremy Ray Valdez) is closing in on yet another wrong suspect. Ridge just won’t allow Quinn to go down for a crime she didn’t commit.
Thorne and Steffy probably won’t be impressed by Ridge’s selfless act. They may think he’s a fool for believing Quinn is innocent. Her shady history won’t do her any favors here. As additional evidence comes to light, Quinn may look more and more culpable. Steffy and Thorne may urge Ridge to let Quinn rot in prison where she belongs.
Nevertheless, Ridge has a soft spot for Quinn. They managed to form a friendship after Ridge’s scheming fiasco. Ridge nearly destroyed Quinn and Eric’s (John McCook) marriage, so this may be his way of making amends. He’d hate to see Eric and Quinn ripped apart because of this crime. It would devastate Eric if Quinn landed behind bars for this.
Of course, we have to wonder if there’s more than friendship on Ridge’s mind. Could he have some lingering feelings for Quinn? Back when Ridge and Quinn were stealing all those kisses, many B&B viewers noticed their sizzling chemistry. There were definitely some “Quidge” fans out there!
The Bold and the Beautiful chose to put Quinn back with Eric and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) back with Ridge, but there’s no guarantee things will stay that way. If a guy’s willing to take the attempted murder rap for you, there’s clearly a spark to address. B&B could be setting up a future storyline where Quinn and Ridge finally get together.
It’s doubtful that the show would take the cheating route again, but there are other ways to break up couples. Soap pairings tend to be temporary anyway. Ridge and Quinn may not become an item right away, but it’s all about the journey on a daytime drama. This could be step one toward a romance down the road.
