The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that a big return could be in the works. Y&R fans may have heard that a serious medical story is likely coming up for Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). A shocker will put Sharon’s relationship with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) at risk and bring a family member back to Genoa City.
The latest buzz suggests Sharon’s cancer diagnosis may be that shocker, but who’s the family member? In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Alyvia Alyn Lind talked about coming back to The Young and the Restless, filming another project and then coming back to film more Y&R. However, SOD also confirmed Faith would be sticking around for a while longer, so Faith won’t return to boarding school just yet.
That could mean The Young and the Restless was able to work out the filming schedule and keep Faith on canvas, despite Lind’s other project stealing her away briefly.
Even if Faith does return to boarding school before Sharon’s secret comes out, it seems silly to release spoilers about another comeback. Faith just came home, so why be all vague with this “family member” business?
Perhaps The Young and the Restless spoilers are pointing to another family member’s comeback instead. There have definitely been rumblings about Noah Newman’s (Robert Adamson) possible return.
After all, if Noah Newman (Robert Adamson) would come home for Sharon and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) wedding, he would surely come home because his own mother had cancer!
There’s just no reasonable way to explain Noah’s absence in a story like this. Since they’ve brought back Faith, why wouldn’t they bring back Noah? Fenmore “Fen” Baldwin (Zach Tinker) came home to reconnect with Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) after rehab.
It’d be bizarre to find the airtime and money for Fen’s arc but not Noah in Sharon’s medical story.
With all that in mind, it’s probably safe to assume we’ll see Noah for a bit. Of course, many Y&R fans would like to see Noah stick around! There would be some interesting opportunities for Noah in Genoa City.
Doesn’t Noah deserve a chance to move beyond his many rounds of heartbreak and finally find love? Some viewers just aren’t feeling the chemistry between Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson). If Y&R wants to give Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) a solid rival for Lola’s affections, Noah makes a lot more sense.
Plus, it could set up a new generation of the Newman-Abbott rivalry. Why not have Noah fall for Lola and put him back at Newman Enterprises? He could go up against Kyle in more ways than one! Since Summer Newman (Hunter King) is Noah’s sister, there’s be another angle for drama. Since Summer’s hung up on Kyle, things could get messy.
