The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 17 Recap – Billy’s Violent Showdown in His Mind – Fierce Battle with Dark Side

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Tuesday, September 17, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will work through his deep issues. He’ll tell Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that Chloe Mitchell’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) right about him luring Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) to route 7. Since Billy can accept that he tried to kill Adam, he’ll know there’s a dark part of himself he has to get rid of. Sadly, Billy will fear he can’t make that person go away.

Victoria will assure Billy that she knows the real him and will help. She’ll think Billy has to confront the side of himself that hasn’t found healing. After Victoria goes out to get some food for Billy, he’ll begin his personal war. Billy will imagine an older version of Delia Abbott’s there with him. She’ll get why Billy went after Adam the first time, but she’ll suggest all his hard work to move on has gone down the drain.

Delia will contend that if Billy could target Adam years after she died, then it’s who he is. However, Billy will insist he wants to fight off the darkness. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will be the next character to enter Billy’s fantasy world. He’ll berate Billy for being a screw-up and contend that there’s no chance of Billy turning things around.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll bicker until Jack decides he’s had enough. He’ll warn that Billy can only be one person: the good guy or the slacker. Jack will urge Billy to pick one and be done with it. Afterward, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will appear in Billy’s mind. She’ll feel like Billy needs to vanish for Victoria’s sake and handle his problems on his own.

Billy will counter that he needs Victoria to be his rock, but imaginary Jill won’t agree. She’ll think Billy has failed Victoria time and time again. Jill will make it clear that Billy has to do this alone, but he won’t see the point without Victoria in his life.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will make an appearance soon after. She’ll take jabs about Billy’s sappy side and announce that she prefers him with some edge. Billy will feel like he’s on the verge of losing it, but Phyllis will think it may already be too late. She’ll bring up how Billy slept with Summer Newman (Hunter King) for revenge and doubt that he’s really capable of love.

Phyllis will whip out a deck of cards and point out that the stakes are higher than ever. Billy will get Victoria and the life he wants if he conquers his pain. Losing means Billy will have to accept that there’s no hope for him. They’ll play at the poker table until Phyllis emerges victorious. She’ll laugh as Billy continues to wrestle with his thoughts.

Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will appear for a final faceoff. He’ll rant about Billy going after him again and remind him they already worked through this. Adam won’t understand what’s happening in Billy’s mind. He’ll wonder why Billy hasn’t targeted Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) by now, but Billy will fire back that he’s not a monster.

Adam will insist he’s not a monster either, but he can’t keep living his life in fear. He’ll try to strangle Billy, but Adam will ultimately become Billy’s alternate personality. Y&R spoilers say Billy will put up a fierce fight against himself, and Victoria will return for the last part of the battle. She’ll be there after Billy delivers a punch and snaps out of his fantasy.

Billy will assure Victoria that he doesn’t want that dark version of himself to come back. He’ll believe he can get to the other side now, so Victoria will hold him close as they move forward together. This will definitely be a gripping episode, so don’t miss all the action. We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
