The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Tuesday, September 17 – Billy Tackles Delia Grief - Emotional Trauma Nightmare

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Tuesday, September 17, tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will work through some serious emotional trauma. He’s got plenty of lingering issues related to Delia Abbott’s (Sophie Pollono) death, so he needs to work through them. Billy will go completely off his rocker if he doesn’t.

Thankfully, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be right by Billy’s side at the boathouse. She’s in for some scary moments as Billy deals with his alternate personality. This other version of himself will be fighting for control, but Billy will work hard to take charge. That’ll be easier said than done, so we’re in for some intense, emotional scenes.

In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Thompson admitted it took three days to shoot this ambitious episode. Billy will share scenes opposite the darker version of himself, but there’ll be some other guests in his dream world. For starters, Billy will tackle his Delia grief head-on when he meets her as a young adult. Delia may encourage her dad to get a grip and be the kind of man she can be proud of.

However, it seems there’ll be some other problems for Billy to address. He’s had many complicated relationships and happens to have a complex family, too. While Billy’s dealing with all this, he might as well dig as deep as he can. A dream version of Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will appear at one point, which could lead to some admissions about living in Jack’s shadow.

Dream Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will also make an appearance, so she should dish out her usual tough love. Y&R fans know Jill always speaks her mind, especially if she feels it can help someone in need – and Billy’s definitely in need right now. He’s going off the rails, so he could use all the help he can get.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will even pop up in Billy’s fantasy. That was certainly a messy romance for Billy, so there’ll be some things he has to confess and maybe even take the blame for. Phyllis gets a lot of flak, but Billy made his fair share of mistakes as “Philly” crumbled.

As for Thompson’s performance, he held nothing back during filming. “I wanted to add some gasoline to the fire a little bit, is what I wanted to do,” Thompson said. “I didn’t want to look back and say that I just kind of relaxed through it.”

The Young and the Restless spoilers say this is sure to be a memorable episode! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in. Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check CDL often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates and news.
