Tonight’s DWTS finale opens with Tyra Banks walking out to “I’m So Excited” by The Pointer Sisters. For this week, for the first dance, each couple will repeat one of their favorite performances from earlier in the season with some new creative elements. Then, for the last element of the competition, the couples will perform the most anticipated dance of the season—the fan-favorite Freestyle.
Kaitlyn Bristowe (“The Bachelor,” “The Bachelorette”) and pro Artem Chigvintsev will repeat their Argentine Tango to “Toxic” by Britney Spears.
Judges Comments: Derek: “What a perfect dance to remind people that you deserve to be here and that you are a true contender for that Mirror Ball trophy. We held your high standards and I am glad that we did because you met it. What a beautiful performance, wow.” Bruno “I am panting, you took my breath away. It was so intensely sensual, I am tingling all over. The detail was ground, that lift was suspended in mid-air, you were like a feather and you landed like a tiger.” Carrie Ann: “I am so glad that you did this dance again because this is where you went from an incredible dancer to an unbelievable exquisite dancer. I can’t even find the words right now. You challenged yourself, I pushed you but you pushed yourself. This is one of my all-time three dances of all time.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 10, Derek: 10, Bruno: 10 = 30/30
GRAMMY®-winning rapper Nelly and pro Daniella Karagach will repeat their Samba to “Rhythm of the Night” by DeBarge.
Judges Comments: “What you have is such a spontaneity, a natural feel to you but there were still a couple of technical issues. But, watching you is great, fun and we all want to watch you, you should be proud.” Carrie Ann: “Your journey has been the most fascinating for me and gives me the most joy because you remind us that dance is so much more than just technique, just the steps, just executing to perfection. You showed us that dance is a joy in life. I wasn’t sure if you were going to take the full ride, but you did.” Derek: “This show is not just about technique and steps, it’s about moments and you are a moment maker brother. You fill this room with joy, you make them feel good, and you connect with them at home. I have to commend you, you did a fantastic job.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 9, Derek: 9, Bruno: 9 = 27/30

Judges Comments: “That dance was perfection the first time you did and it was once again perfection. What I love so much about you is when I watch you I feel like I get to have a treat. Whenever you come out on this dance floor I know it is going to be amazing, I know it’s going to be technically amazing and I know it is also going to be artistic, and I know you are also going to give us a thousand percent. Thank you for all your performances so far.” Derek: “I absolutely loved the little change at the beginning where it was you starting in the spotlight shedding your light feathers and becoming this dark beast. It was so fantastic, I think you catfished us all.” Bruno: “How do you improve off of perfection. You switch the characters and you created even more dramatic structure, more intensity, it was more thrilling and you killed it.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 10, Derek: 10, Bruno: 10 = 30/30

Judges Comments: Derek: “I said it week one and I will say it again, you are exploding with charisma and energy, you have all season long. You are sensational to watch, so much fun. And when you sang, so good, well done.” Bruno: “Justina, la viva Latina. You know how to shake it. You were almost too hot to trot tonight. Extra spicy and I loved it.” Carrie Ann: “Girl, you know how to bring it. Every time you hit these hardwood floors you light them on fire like nobody else. FREESTYLE DANCES

Judges Comments: Bruno: “Nelly, the king of swag and the king of bling. We were in the presence of Hip Hop royalty. This was Empire the musical. You pitched it just right for you, great.” Carrie Ann: “I want to talk about your partner, this partnership has been outstanding. This dance gives me hope. You brought this together and created something so magical. You gave me hope for the future.” Derek: “What a great performance, it had everything. The intro was so good, the ending move, you let go. You are incredible, you brought that to life. You threw everything into that, even the kitchen sink.” Derek: “I remember watching you and when Chris Harrison surprised you that you were going to be on Dancing with the Stars, you went from Zoom on the couch to being on this stage and so close to the trophy. Congratulations, well done.” Bruno: “You really captured the feel and style of that extravaganza, it was so jam-packed with content, it was like a showcase of Dancing with the Stars.” Judges Scores: Carrie Ann: 10, Derek: 10, Bruno: 10 = 30/30

It was show-stopping, inspiring and beautiful – and I wasn’t expecting that.” Carrie Ann: “It was three routines in one, it was classic, it got raunchy and then the water, there were so many levels to it.
