Dancing With the Stars spoilers reveal that a rep for the series has slammed Taryn Manning’s story and calls the claims false. Manning recently claimed DWTS asked her “many times” to compete, but she turned them down because it would make her a “has-been.” Now, a show rep says DWTS turned down Manning, not the other way around.
Taryn Manning’s Claim
DWTS spoilers reveal that while promoting the robot product Gita, Manning claimed that she had been asked “many times” to appear on the long-running dancing competition series.
Then, she went on to explain that she always rejected the offer because of her “weird phobia.” Manning believes that if she appears on the show, then it will make her a “has-been.”

According to Page Six, the rep has come forward to set the record straight. Apparently, Manning wasn’t the one that turned down DWTS… it was the other way around. Manning’s management team pitched her to be on the show a while back, but they “kindly passed.”

DWTS Rep Says Story is ‘Completely False’
However, that isn’t the only part of Manning’s claim that the rep ripped apart. She also said that she was asked to join the series “many times.” Not only was she never asked at all, but she was only pitched by her management team one time. Dancing With the Stars spoilers reveal the a rep for the show stated,
“So her claim that she was asked to join ‘DWTS’ once, never mind many times, is completely false.”

As far as the comment that Manning made about how appearing on the show would make her a “has-been,” the rep had something to say about that too.
“Her thoughts that the contestants consist of ‘has-beens’ seems to be her own projection onto talent that we have asked to cast.”
