Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Gabi DiMera (Camila Banus) will be floored when she sees Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). The week of April 27-May 1 will leave Gabi’s world spinning out! Gabi will faint in the town square due to Jake’s unnerving resemblance to Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) – her supposedly dead husband.
Naturally, Gabi’s going to wonder if Stefan’s so dead after all. Is Jake really just a guy who coincidentally looks identical to Stefan? That seems doubtful, especially since Vivian Alamain (Louise Sorel) is set to make a comeback. Mommy Dearest is returning, so this is most likely either Stefan without his memories or a newly invented long-lost twin brother.
Either way, Days of Our Lives spoilers say this mystery will play out for a while. Even if Jake turns out to be Stefan in the end, that’s not going to be revealed at this point in the story. DOOL has a fun opportunity to play around with a new angle. Could Gabi fall for Jake just as he is?
Days fans haven’t really had a chance to get to know Jake yet, but we can tell you all about him. Jake is pretty much the total opposite of Stefan when it comes to his personality. The only things they have in common are their appearance and perhaps a bit of swagger.
Stefan came on the scene as a savvy corporate raider, who went by the name Sam Maitland before changing it to Stefan Octavius DiMera. He was a ruthless businessman, but he had a sweet and charming side with Gabi later on.
Jake is a mechanic who likes the simple life and getting his hands dirty. He’s rough around the edges and not the type of guy who’s used to revving up the romance.
Nevertheless, the goal of bringing Brandon Barash back was to pair him up with Camila Banus – at least at some point. Stefan and Gabi brought some real fire to Days, but can Jake and Gabi do the same? DOOL might as well let love bloom so we can see the differences between the two versions of the pairing.
Gabi will surely be drawn to Jake simply because he looks just like dead Stefan. Once Gabi gets to know Jake, will she fall for him, too? It’d be interesting to see what kind of romantic gestures Jake would come up with.
That doesn’t seem like something that’d be in his wheelhouse, but maybe Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) could offer advice!
