Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Gabi DiMera’s (Camila Banus) DNA test plans will have to wait. DOOL fans know Gabi secured a sample of Stefan DiMera’s (Brandon Barash) before heading to the garage to get a sample belonging to Jake Lambert (Brandon Barash). Gabi had just bagged up Jake’s toothbrush and was about to walk out when a goon showed up.
Unfortunately, that means Gabi’s about to face a kidnapping ordeal and become a hostage. Days spoilers say Gabi won’t be able to get those samples to the lab for testing anytime soon. In fact, Gabi may lose track of the samples in all the chaos, which could leave her in need of more.
Gabi can surely scrounge up another one for Stefan, but what about Jake? Perhaps Gabi won’t even have to be so sneaky the next time around. After Gabi endures this kidnapping nightmare, will Jake surrender and offer up his DNA willingly?
Jake suspiciously nixed the idea at one point, which was kind of bizarre. Why wouldn’t Jake just want to get Gabi off his back once and for all?
There could be a few reasons why. The first one may be that Jake secretly likes the attention he gets from Gabi. If Gabi’s proven wrong, Jake may worry that she’ll actually leave him alone.
Even though that’s what Jake claims to want, it probably isn’t true. Jake wouldn’t be flashing back to Gabi moments constantly if he wanted her out of the picture.
Another reason for Jake’s reluctance might be fear about Gabi being proven right! If Jake finds out he’s actually this Stefan guy, his life would change in a big way.
Other than Gabi, Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) and Ciara Brady (Victoria Konefal), pretty much everyone else in town either isn’t fond of Stefan or completely loathes him.
There’s also the matter of being married to Gabi, which would also be pretty overwhelming for Jake. Then again, there’s still no guarantee Jake’s even telling the truth about not being Stefan.
Days of Our Lives has wisely played moments where Jake seemed a bit deceptive, so concealing his true identity could be another reason why Jake hasn’t been interested in a DNA test.
Nevertheless, Jake may wind up consenting to one down the road. If Jake’s truly in the dark, he might decide he wants answers like Gabi. It’s easy to imagine Jake and Gabi anxiously awaiting the results together – whatever they may be!
