Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Jay Kenneth Johnson’s (Philip Kiriakis) long-awaited return is just around the corner. Philip fans are certainly looking forward to Johnson’s comeback, so when can you expect him on screen again? Daytime Confidential confirms that Philip will kick off his return stint starting August 18, so that’s something to get excited about.
We should note that Philip’s comeback is actually happening a bit sooner than the show originally planned. Philip’s first airdate back was supposed to be September 4, but preemptions were skipped due to sports coverage that never happened. Without anything else to air in place of those episodes, DOOL just kept rolling right along with new content.
At the moment, Days is currently 13 episodes ahead of schedule and that number will grow in the coming weeks. Of course, you won’t hear any complaints about seeing Philip sooner than expected – at least not from fans of the popular character. Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer), on the other hand, won’t be pleased when Philip shows back up in Salem.
Now that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) is out of the picture, Xander’s the clear choice to step back in as Titan’s CEO. Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) is on good terms with Xander and approved of the work he did while he was on the throne. Xander’s undoubtedly eager to get all the power back and be a big shot like he was before.
However, Philip’s upcoming return could be a game-changer. As Victor’s son with Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) and someone who has CEO experience, Philip could become serious competition for Xander. Days spoilers say there’ll definitely be some clashing between Xander and Philip, so don’t miss this Kiriakis battle.
As for Philip’s personal life, he may have a chance to continue his love story with Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin). Days of Our Lives spoilers say Chloe should return this September, so we’ll look forward to her comeback, too!
