Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) will have a change of heart. DOOL fans know Steve pushed Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) away after he got updates on all the “Stefano DiMera” horror. Steve hated the fact that he put Kayla’s life in danger, so he encouraged her to be with Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth).
It seemed like Steve was punishing himself in a way, but none of the Stefano drama was his fault. Dr. Wilhelm Rolf (William Utay) transformed Steve into Stefano against his will. Steve had no idea what he was doing while Stefano was in control of his mind and body. That microchip was to blame for the threat he posed, but it’s been hard for Steve to come to grips with that.
However, what it all boils down to is Steve loves Kayla and always will. The more time Steve spends around Kayla, the more he’ll realize he can’t live without her. It looks like Steve may have an upcoming brush with peril that affects him, too.
Days spoilers say Steve will help take on Orpheus (George DelHoyo) for John Black’s (Drake Hogestyn) sake, so it could shift his perspective.
If Steve faces some harrowing moments, he might worry he’s going to die at Orpheus’ hands. It could bring an epiphany about telling Kayla they should be together. Regardless, that’s indeed what Steve will decide he wants during the week of May 25-28.
Steve will determine that he needs to go to Kayla and make her see that they should be together.
Kayla wasn’t happy about Steve making decisions for her, but she’s still been pining for her true love. As much as Kayla cares about Justin, he’s just not Steve! Kayla’s found happiness, but it’s not the same kind of happiness she had with her soulmate.
Likewise, Adrienne Kiriakis (Judi Evans) was the love of Justin’s life. Justin’s never going to feel exactly the same way about Kayla, but he’ll be ready to take the next step with Kayla anyway.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Justin will pay a visit to Adrienne’s grave with a goal in mind. Justin will ask for Adrienne’s blessing on a new marriage. He’ll want to ask Kayla to marry him!
It seems likely that just before Steve tells Kayla they’re meant to be, he’ll see Justin proposing or realize they’ve just gotten engaged. Talk about terrible timing! Kayla and Steve just can’t get on the same page, but “Stayla” fans shouldn’t give up. These two will find their way back to each other down the road, so we just have to be patient.
