General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the ABC soap could have a hot pairing on their hands. GH writers just need to pull the trigger on it! Let’s consider one single Port Charles resident and another one who’s stuck in a loveless marriage.
Amanda Setton has settled in nicely as a Brook Lynn Quartermaine recast. Now that everyone’s used to the new Brook Lynn, it’s time for a sizzling romance. Could Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) be just the guy for Brook Lynn?
Marcus Coloma has also had time to settle into the role, so Nik deserves a real love interest. GH initially seemed poised to make Nik fall for Ava Jerome (Maura West), who forced him into their current marriage. However, nothing much is happening with that. Nikolas and Ava are pretty “meh” at this point.
Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) are being targeted as part of Ava and Nik’s schemes, but “Friz” seems solid. It’s tough to imagine GH breaking up Liz’s family to pair her up with Nikolas right now. In other words, Nik could use someone single and feisty – someone like Brook Lynn!
Brook Lynn has a bit of a history with Nikolas. She was also quite touched when Nik called to reveal he was alive and asked how she was doing. Brook Lynn told Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) that her own family hadn’t bothered to ask that since she’d been back.
Things are often tense between Brook Lynn and her family, which Nik can relate to. Brook Lynn should feel like even more of an outsider once Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) ELQ takeover is exposed.
You can bet Brook Lynn will get a good dose of the blame for selling her shares. Angry, rejected Brook Lynn could seek out Nikolas for comfort.
Plus, Nik and Brook Lynn just have such an easy, interesting vibe. Ava picked up on their chemistry when she watched their interaction at the Metro Court. She seemingly filed Brook Lynn away as a backup option to activate that infidelity clause, so this would be a great path for General Hospital to take.
Brook Lynn and Nikolas could both use real love in their lives. They’re sweet with each other, but their personalities bring the spice! Nik and Brook Lynn might rise as new powercouple by the end of all this. Could Brook Lynn eventually become the new Mrs. Cassadine?
That’d be an excellent strategy to stick it to Ava. Nikolas and Brook Lynn could also join forces to take down Valentin, so there’s so much potential here. Would you like to see Brook Lynn and Nikolas paired up?
