General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) will have to break some crushing news to his son. Rocco Falconeri (O’Neill Monahan) was devastated when Dante left for treatment and had no way of knowing if his father would ever return.
Dante thankfully came back, but now Rocco will have to deal with two more devastating losses.
For starters, there’s Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson). GH fans know Rocco bonded with Dustin quickly and really looked up to him. Dustin became a fill-in father in a way, so he definitely meant a lot to Rocco.
Back when it was “Take Your Dad to School” day, Rocco wanted Dustin to be there. If Dante hadn’t come home, there’s no doubt that Dustin would’ve been Rocco’s stepfather sooner or later. Once Rocco gets updates on Dustin’s death, he’ll have to mourn the loss and try to make sense of all this.
Of course, Rocco will want his mom to help him through the pain, but she’s the one person who can’t. Lulu is stuck in a coma and there’s no word on when she might wake up – that is if she even does! Dante will have to let Rocco know that Dustin is gone and Lulu’s going to need a long time to get better.
It seems likely Dante will offer Rocco hope, even if there isn’t much. Dante may have an optimistic attitude and urge Rocco to keep the faith. That’s really all they can do at this point.
On the bright side, this horrible situation may pull Rocco closer to Dante again. This will serve as an opportunity for Dante to reconnect with his son and strengthen their bond once more.
