General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Kelly Monaco (Sam McCall) recently offered up an important reminder to any fans out there who like to criticize actors’ appearances. Soap stars have feelings just like everybody else, so there’s no need to get nasty with insults. Monaco posted a raw, emotional message on her Instagram account – though she later deleted part of it.
In the message that remains on Instagram, Monaco urged people to avoid spreading hate and made it clear that she was trying to create a no bully zone. “Dressing room resting. (Exhausted as you can see) It’s been a looong time since I’ve posted,” Monaco admitted. “I must say… a lot of changes happening. #gh Please. #nohate bully’s stay away.”
However, an earlier version of Monaco’s message went a bit deeper and revealed more about the hateful comments she’s endured. Monaco pushed those who have hate in their hearts to refrain from posting negativity on her page.
“Try… I know it’s hard… but try to look into my eyes and not critique or criticize my physical appearance. Look into my eyes and tell me what you see?!” Monaco insisted.
Kelly Monaco acknowledged that it wasn’t an easy concept for some people, but she wanted to remind everyone to look beyond the surface and stop passing judgment.
“I have a feelings, heart and a soul,” Monaco said. “Most look past that! Do you see joy, pain, happiness, loneliness, love…” The General Hospital star was irritated over those who suck the fun out of social media by choosing to make fun of others, especially people like Monaco who are forced to live somewhat in the spotlight.
Of course, the bullies are a big part of why Monaco doesn’t share much on social media – and she pointed that out in this deleted version of her post. In the end, Monaco erased a lot of comments and perhaps just decided it was best to keep things simple with her “#nohate” message.
Naturally, there have been plenty of GH fans rushing to Monaco’s defense on various social media platforms. “Absolutely no hate! We love you and your character,” one fan insisted.
“It breaks my heart that Kelly is so afraid to post, especially photos of herself, out of fear she’ll be attacked,” another fan said. “We all know to be better and show the actors love.”
