General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will get some shocking news along with many other Port Charles residents. GH fans know there’s a ticking time bomb in the palm of Nelle Benson Jerome’s (Chloe Lanier) hand! Nelle is Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) biological daughter – and that half-heart pendant necklace is the first step toward them figuring it out.
Of course, it’ll take more than a necklace to prove Nelle and Nina’s connection. There’ll inevitably be a DNA test, but that should lock Nelle in as the bio daughter as long as there’s no tampering.
General Hospital spoilers insist Nelle’s the real deal. Although there could certainly be a rewrite down the road, it’s important to keep in mind that GH writers have confirmed Nelle as Nina’s biological child.
Once Nina gets proof, there are bound to be some strong opinions and concerns. Maxie was forced to stand up for what she’s worth and ultimately left Crimson, but she obviously still cares about her ex-boss.
Nina had some encouraging words for Maxie when she was feeling overwhelmed about the Deception launch. They have a nice bond, so Maxie will want to weigh in on the daughter drama.
You can bet Maxie will worry Nina’s going to get tangled up in Nelle’s twisted web. Maxie knows how much Nina’s longed for a daughter, so she’ll also know Nelle’s in the prime position to take advantage of her new mom. Since Maxie won’t want that to happen, she’ll likely warn Nina to be careful.
Maxie would rather see Nina keep her distance entirely, but that’s just not an option for Nina. There’s no way Nina will be able to turn her back on her flesh and blood.
With that in mind, Maxie may try a different strategy. Maxie may corner Nelle to give her a fierce warning about treating Nina right. Nelle’s got quite a reputation, so Maxie will be keeping an eye on her.
Maxie might point out that Nina genuinely cares about Nelle and is the only one in town who feels that way. This is Nelle’s opportunity to find love and acceptance, so Maxie may advise her not to blow it.
Maxie may also argue that if Nelle hurts Nina, she’ll have to answer to Maxie! That warning probably wouldn’t exactly strike fear in Nelle’s heart, but we can only hope it’d sink in eventually.
