General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that there are certainly plenty of “JaSam” fans rooting for Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) bright future. Jason and Sam have already overcome some big obstacles, but there are more ahead. Between Sam’s parole issues and the Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) danger, Sam and Jason still have a lot to figure out.
While we wait on GH to fully reunite “JaSam” and let them move forward, we should consider someone else from Sam’s romantic history. Sam and Drew Cain (Billy Miller) were another popular couple once upon a time. There are some “Dream” shippers out there who’ll never give up hope on this duo.
Drew’s presumed dead at the moment, but he could still come back someday. If Billy Miller reprises the role or a recast comes along, a Drew and Sam reunion might be an option. It seems like Drew was the one guy who ever stood a real chance against Jason – or at least Drew could have if the writing had made it possible.
Regardless, there’s an interesting question to ponder since these twin brothers were so different. Would Sam be better off with Drew or bored without the excitement Jason delivers? Drew was definitely the safer choice when he was around.
General Hospital writers seem to want as much drama swirling around Jason as humanly possible. Jason’s profession makes that pretty easy to pull off.
Sam brings her own problems to the table, so GH indeed likes for them to be drama magnets. However, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) made some good points during her “JaSam” rant. Is the danger part of the appeal – both for Sam and for “JaSam” fans? There’s no denying they’re a great action and adventure couple.
Although Sam might have a safer, easier life with Drew, it wouldn’t bring the same thrill that Sam’s come to expect. It probably wouldn’t stir up the same sense of passion. Even so, people can change, so you never know what kind of life Sam will want down the road.

Jason and Sam will keep working toward the bliss they want, and they’ve got tons of “JaSam” fans in their corner. Even so, “Dream” remains the dream for Drew and Sam supporters – and you can never say never!
