The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Dr. John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) will focus on helping Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) battle her addiction in the months ahead.
However, the story will have to shift eventually. B&B fans need to learn more about Finn and his background if he’s going to have longevity on The Bold and the Beautiful.
That could mean we’ll meet a family member of Finn’s sooner or later. Flo Fulton (Katrina Bowden) has her mom, Shauna Fulton Forrester (Denise Richards). B&B’s also in the process of casting a character who’ll likely be Zoe Buckingham’s (Kiara Barnes) sister.
It helps cement a newbie’s place on the show when he or she’s given a relative to confide in – and in some cases, spar with!
What about Finn? Who would you like to meet from Finn’s past? A brother seems like a great option – especially since Bryan Craig (ex-Morgan Corinthos on General Hospital) has announced he’d like to return to soaps. Craig could easily play Finn’s rebellious brother – the bad boy to Finn’s good doctor!
Perhaps Finn and his brother could be estranged due to the latter’s behavior in the past. The Bold and the Beautiful could come up with an exciting story to explain their feud – like battling over a girl when they were younger. Maybe Finn was all set to marry the love of his life when his brother swooped in and stole her heart.
Finn’s brother could track Finn down to apologize, especially if the woman they fought over’s no longer in the picture. Of course, Finn would be wary of his sibling swooping in and stealing Steffy’s heart, too. It’d be a fantastic way to explore some insecurities for Finn once he helps Steffy past her own issues.
Finn’s going to need some depth, so bringing an estranged brother into the picture could help provide that. Would you like to see Finn get a sibling to clash with?
Would Bryan Craig be a good fit as Finn’s sibling? It’d be fun to watch the Finnegan brothers go to war over Steffy and problems in their shared history! Let’s hope B&B makes it happen!
