The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers tease that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) went to extremes fighting for her child recently. As B&B viewers and Steffy’s loved ones watched in horror, Steffy had a complete meltdown and whipped out a knife, demanding that she be given her daughter immediately.
Of course, this was a totally desperate move and something that Steffy would never have done had it not been for the opioid painkillers that she took earlier in the day.
However, despite that, the fact remains that Steffy walked onto the grounds where she believed her daughter was staying and she was armed with a dangerous weapon.
That’s a premeditated move, and it’s something that could come back to haunt Steffy at a later date. And since Steffy had a roomful of witnesses to her behavior, it’s not ever going to be a simple “he said, she said” accusation.
No one wants to think that this could happen, but if Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) wanted to sue Steffy for sole custody of Kelly Spencer (Colette and Avalon Gray) at some point, he’d have some powerful evidence against her.
First, there’s the fact that Liam found Steffy unconscious and unresponsive with Kelly unattended in the next room. And then, there’s the knife incident, which a judge could easily construe as a violent attack against Liam and Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle).
Of course, right now, it doesn’t seem that Liam is interested in keeping Kelly from Steffy permanently – rather, he wants Steffy to get professional help and get better so that she can be a loving and attentive mother again.
But down the road, if things ever do become contentious between Liam and Steffy where Kelly is concerned, then Liam’s certainly got some ammunition.
Let’s hope that it never comes to that, but let’s face it – custody drama is big part of soaps, and of B&B in particular. It wasn’t too long ago that Katie Logan (Heather Tom) sued Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) for sole custody of Will Spencer (Finnegan George), and she was pretty persuasive in her petition.
Bill certainly hadn’t done anything like pull a knife on anyone, and he was at a serious disadvantage in the case.
What if Liam eventually balks at the idea of John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) becoming a stepfather to Kelly, and he wants to argue that he and Hope would provide a better home for Kelly than Steffy and Finn would?
Liam will always have the knife incident to turn on, so it’s something that could come back to bite for Steffy.
Hopefully, we’ll never see the day that Liam wants to use Steffy’s actions against her, but it will always remain a possibility. Do you think that Steffy’s knife-wielding incident will someday come back to haunt her?
