The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers for Thursday, January 9, tease that Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) will take action. As B&B viewers know, he just had a nearly explosive confrontation with Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) at the cabin.
Thomas and Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri) had come to the cabin so that Douglas could see Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez), but they walked right into the middle of Liam’s marriage proposal to Hope Logan (Annika Noelle).
From there, Thomas learned that Liam had proposed with some stipulations in place, and he quickly figured out that Liam was tiring to cut Thomas completely out of Hope’s life.
And on Thursday’s episode, Thomas will decide that it’s time to put another scheme into place, and he’ll use Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) in his plan this time.
Of course, it won’t be the first time that Thomas has manipulated a situation involving his sister. B&B viewers will remember that last summer, Thomas drugged Liam’s margarita in order to get him to sleep with Steffy, and the plan worked like a charm. It ended up pushing Steffy and Liam together momentarily and drove a wedge between Hope and Liam.
Well, it looks like Thomas will have a similar plan in mind for present day. According to B&B spoilers, Thomas will somehow arrange a scenario in which Steffy and Liam end up kissing at the cliff house, with Hope showing up at just the right moment to catch them in the act.
To add insult to injury, Steffy will be wearing a slinky neglige at the time, so it will probably look to Hope like Liam and Steffy could have spent the night together.
At any rate, it’s going to be a bad scene for Hope, and it will be followed by a major confrontation at the cliff house. B&B spoilers indicate that Hope will try to flee the scene after she witnesses the kiss, and that both Steffy and Liam will chase after her, most likely to try to explain that what she saw wasn’t exactly what she saw. It sounds like it will be a real mess.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of B&B on Thursday, January 9, Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) will make a big decision. She’s been consistently turning Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) down as he’s made several overtures suggesting that they reconcile.
As far as Ridge is concerned, the big issue between them – Thomas – should now be a non-issue, since Thomas has moved on with Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes) and no longer poses a threat to Hope.
But Brooke has still maintained that Thomas is dangerous, and she’s even gone so far as to call him a psychopath who needs intensive inpatient treatment in a psychiatric facility. Yet it seems that something will change as far as Brooke is concerned, and she’ll tell Ridge that she’s ready for him to come home.
Now, it’s unlikely that Brooke’s entire stance on Thomas is going to have changed overnight, but perhaps she’ll realize that she and Ridge can disagree about Thomas without it causing a problem in their marriage.
Maybe she’ll figure that the two of them can get through this now that Thomas is dating someone new and seems to be making at least an attempt at a step forward.
At any rate, it will be a big deal for Brooke to ask Ridge to come home and will be a major compromise on her part. But unfortunately, ongoing B&B spoilers for later in the week indicate that Thomas will manage to sideline their plans. We’ll see what happens there, but it appears that “Bridge’s” reconciliation may be very short-lived.
