The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) may have a problem on his hands – a bigger problem than he realizes! In a recent episode, “Chance” Chancellor (Donny Boaz) flipped out because “she” had gone off the radar completely. He was furious to learn Adam had been paying “her” and was upset that he was just now hearing about it.
Of course, Adam downplayed the drama and assured Chance everything was under control. He promised the checks couldn’t be traced back to him, but he felt confident those checks would ensure this woman’s resurfacing. After all, she has to pop up again if she wants to keep receiving and cashing them.
Adam suggested everything would be fine, but Chance still seems quite nervous about this threat. When a soap character’s nervous, it’s a good idea to pay attention!
It usually means he or she indeed has something to be nervous about – as Chance most definitely does in this case. Adam and Chance are keeping some massive secret, which this woman in Vegas knows about.
This brings us to the question on plenty of fans’ minds. Who is this mystery lady? It’s an intriguing question since Chance and Adam haven’t been referring to her by name.
The obvious contender here would be Riza Thompson (Tina Casciani), the woman Adam and Chance were already mixed up with in Vegas.
However, why wouldn’t they just say so? Y&R fans know who Riza is. She isn’t some major secret that we aren’t aware of. What would be the harm in revealing that Riza is this threat they’re tackling?
If the answer is indeed Riza, it’s not going to be some huge surprise. There will have been no real point to concealing this woman’s identity.
Now the writers could certainly still pretend this is some epic “shocker.” They acted like it was a shocker when we found out that not-so-juicy New York secret. Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) taking a drunk girl to the hospital wasn’t exactly mind-blowing.
It just goes to show that Y&R can sometimes make things out to be a bigger deal than they actually are. Even so, we have to consider the possibility that this mystery woman will truly bring a surprising revelation.
It’d be great if this woman could bring a genuine bombshell. Could it be a face from further back in Y&R history? It’s an interesting possibility to ponder.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Adam will have some unfinished business during the week of February 3-7. He’ll try to settle it, but he may run into some trouble. Perhaps this woman who’s gone off the grid will show up in Genoa City.
