The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) needs to get a little of his fire back. It’s great to see Adam as a doting dad who loves Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with all his heart. It’s also nice to see how fiercely Adam loves Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and how committed he is to making their last shot at romance work.
However, Adam has been tamed perhaps a bit too much. Y&R took the character in an extremely dark direction after Adam’s return, but now maybe they’ve zapped Adam’s dark side entirely. There has to be a balance between someone who’ll mess with his sick father’s medication and someone who’s excited about kitten supplies.
Of course, it’s understandable that Adam’s been focused on his family lately. Connor’s issues got pretty bad for a while, so Adam wanted to give his son his full attention. Now that Connor’s doing better, Adam’s also concentrating on Chelsea and making their family whole again. He doesn’t intend to blow this by doing something reckless this time.
Even so, Adam could use a tad more excitement in his life. The Young and the Restless writers could start by giving Adam a career he can thrive in. It wouldn’t hurt to have Adam keep clashing with at least some of his family members. Adam’s always going to be the black sheep of the family. That’s just who he is.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) relationship is on the verge of collapsing. Victoria’s been doing a fantastic job at Newman Enterprises, but what’ll happen if her almost marriage gets destroyed? Will Victoria let her emotions get the best of her? Could it affect her performance at work?
Victoria might try to step back a bit and salvage things with Billy. It’s not her fault Billy is going through a mid-life crisis, but Victoria may still blame herself for throwing herself into work so much. Even if Victoria isn’t willing to lighten her load, the stress and pain of dealing with a potential split could take a toll.
Y&R loves to play CEO musical chairs – and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has always viewed Adam as the one who really belongs on the throne. Victoria has earned the right to be there, but Victor may not see it that way down the road. Could Adam be persuaded to make a Newman Enterprises comeback?
Victoria mentioned needing a COO, so Adam could start there and slowly become a threat. We all know Victor would want to undermine Victoria’s authority eventually. Putting Adam back in the CEO seat could give him an arena to be cutthroat without damaging the kitten-loving family man.
Whatever the case, let’s hope The Young and the Restless has some interesting material store for Adam. It’d be fun to keep his devious side in play! We’ll give you updates as other Y&R news comes in.
