The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that it’s time to talk about a giant hypocrite – and his name’s Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Y&R fans will recall that Billy became so consumed by his rage toward Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) that he tried to mow Adam down with his vehicle.
Billy would’ve murdered Adam that night if it hadn’t been for Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) pushing Adam out of the way.
Back when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) told Billy the story of Adam killing AJ Montalvo, Billy marveled at how a kid could block something like that out. Although Billy acknowledged that he blocked out his own murder attempt on Adam, Billy’s always trying to make Adam out to be so much worse.
In the September 11 episode of The Young and the Restless, Billy argues that Adam has gotten away with far too much for far too long. What about everything Billy’s gotten away with – like trying to murder Adam with his car? If Adam’s a menace, isn’t Billy a menace, too?
Billy also tells Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) he wants to do his part to put Adam behind bars or at least let the public know what Adam’s capable of. If we’re letting the public know what people are capable of in Genoa City, maybe everyone would like to know Billy’s capable of attempted vehicular homicide!
Alyssa’s working hard to get to the bottom of what happened in Vegas, but the truth is Adam saved Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) life. Adam inadvertently killed someone while coming to Chance’s rescue.
Of course, there’s no hard evidence of what went down in Kansas or Vegas – just like there’s no hard evidence of what went down when Billy tried to kill Adam.
It looks like Alyssa’s twisted version of Vegas events is going to blow up anyway, so maybe Billy’s secret needs to go public as well. It discredits Billy and Chancellor Communications in general if he’s smearing a man he tried to murder.
When Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) let Billy off the hook for Adam’s attempted murder, he warned Billy not to make him regret it. Clearly, ungrateful Billy didn’t listen. Victor could come forward with the truth and unleash quite a scandal for Chance Comm.
Adam also knows Chloe saved him, so that’s another factor to consider here. It’s doubtful Chloe would throw Billy under the bus for Adam, but Chelsea might get updates on the full story and try to convince her to anyway.
Regardless, Billy’s actions were just as bad or worse than Adam’s! He really needs to have a seat and stop acting like Adam’s the only one capable of doing something deadly. As other Y&R news rolls in, we’ll keep you posted.
