The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Donny Boaz (Chance Chancellor) has returned to the cast following a very brief absence. The actor took to his Instagram account to inform his followers that he recently needed to self-quarantine after testing positive for the virus. However he didn’t have any symptoms and has already returned to work.
Boaz let fans know that he won’t be seen in his role for what he described as “a bit”. As readers of this site know, Melissa Ordway’s (Abby Newman) real life husband, Justin Gaston (Chance), temporarily replaced Boaz during his absence.
Along with the above and in thinking about the developing Chabs storyline, it’s fair to wonder if Chance and Abby’s marriage plans will be realized in the near future, as they hope?
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Covid Protocol Creates Unique Opportunity
Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Lawson) recently worked with her real life husband, Matt Katrosar, who portrayed her mostly unseen abductor. Katrosar was employed as a day-player due to safety protocols that were used.
The scene in question had Katrosar play the muscle Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) hired to not-so-peacefully detain Chelsea in a locked room.
The top of the building where Chelsea later escaped then became the location where Adam was seemingly targeted for death. Chance was trailing Adam, found him in the empty room that Chelsea departed, and followed him to the rooftop.
A bullet was sent from more than one hundred feet away, with the assailant not yet identified.

Chance saw that Adam was being targeted and was about to be shot, so he heroically jumped in front of him. Boaz’ character took the bullet and needed surgery, but he’s been recovering and isn’t believed to be in any danger now.
Abby was naturally shocked by what happened, with the Genoa City Police Department attempting to determine who wanted Adam dead and then actually shot one of its detectives?
Intriguingly, Adam fed Chelsea a theory that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is the most likely suspect. She passed that conjecture to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), who overheard Billy verbally wishing Adam had received the bullet.
So, did Billy try to shoot Adam and hit Chance instead? While plausible and despite Billy’s lack of a firm alibi, that scenario doesn’t fit with the overall plot.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Adam Newman Remains A Threat
Adam may have been orchestrating the attempt against his life. So, as Chance (to be temporarily played by Gaston, with Boaz resuming his role in the near future) continues to recover he may come to learn that his questionable friend is the reason why the shooting took place.
Along with the resolution to this case is the unresolved Las Vegas, Nevada, matter. The widow of the man Adam killed in self-defense and in defense of Chance has been often referenced, but hasn’t yet been written into the show, yet. Might she go after Adam again and also Chance?
