The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Joshua Morrow (Nick Newman) had an interesting response when asked about a career change. In a recent issue of Soap Opera Digest, Morrow revealed what other job on set he’d take for the day. His answer involved picking on a couple cast members, but it was all in good fun!
“What’s the job title called where I get to replace people?” Morrow joked. “I’d like to replace Camryn [Grimes, Mariah] and Hunter [King, Summer] with anyone. So, yeah, I’d like that job for a day.” Of course, Morrow was just being the typical TV dad. He gets along great with his castmates, but there’s an ongoing fake feud between Morrow and the actresses who have played his daughters.
Grimes portrayed Cassie Newman when she was younger, so Morrow’s been “Dad” to her behind the scenes for quite some time. On Twitter, she takes hilarious jabs at Morrow occasionally.
In response to an article about why everyone loves Joshua Morrow, Grimes called it “Fake news.” Another time Grimes tweeted about Morrow dissing her wardrobe. “*walking past Joshua Morrow at work* Me: Hi josh! Josh: I don’t know if I’m feeling your outfit today,” Grimes tweeted.
Naturally, King has been known to “fight” with her TV pops as well. In an interview with SOD last year, King admitted that they used to flick each other in the throat before filming scenes together. They’d try to sneak in quick flicks and turned it into a game.
However, Morrow truly loves his TV kids. He’d do just about anything for King and his other favorite girls. “I really, really care about her, and Camryn Grimes [Mariah] will attest to this: I will keep picking on her like crazy,” Morrow said in that same interview. “There are only three people I do that to and that’s Hunter, Camryn and Aly [Lind, Faith]. They are like my daughters. I would give them a kidney if they asked.”
Aww! It’s clear that there’s a lot of sweetness underneath this “conflict,” so don’t let them fool you. There’s plenty of love to go around among the Young and Restless cast. We’ll give you updates on any other developments in this Y&R “feud.” It’s certainly been entertaining to follow so far!
