The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, September 28, tease that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will voice concerns about Kyle Abbott’s (Michael Mealor) engagement to Summer Newman (Hunter King). Summer recently faced backlash from her own father, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so now it may be Kyle’s turn to defend his impending marriage.
Jack’s surely going to have many of the same issues that Nick had – like the fact that Kyle isn’t technically divorced yet. Kyle keeps insisting that it’s happening any day now, and Summer just views that as a piece of paper anyway. All that matters to Kyle and Summer is that they’re committed to a future together.
However, Jack’s faced enough heartache over the years to know that it’s not wise to rush into anything. He may feel like that’s a lesson Kyle should’ve learned by now, too. Kyle quickly married Summer and then didn’t honor their agreement after she gave up part of her liver for Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle). That led to a fast “Skyle” divorce.
Then, Kyle rushed into an engagement with Lola, which led to a quick wedding and yet another divorce. Jack may wonder when Kyle’s going to figure out that rushing things brings bad decisions and more drama, but Kyle will feel confident that the third time’s the charm.
Of course, Jack’s been less controlling than Nick, so he may have the same attitude as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) here. Just because Jack doesn’t agree with what Summer and Kyle are doing doesn’t mean he has to stand against it.
Jack may ultimately shrug it off as something he’ll either be proven wrong about or a mistake that Kyle’s determined to make.
Other Young and the Restless spoilers say Phyllis will prove helpful to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), who wants all the details on what her dead twin sister was like. Phyllis was quite close to Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan), so she’ll be able to spill.
From the get-go, Phyllis bonded with Amanda because she was willing to treat her as a completely different person – not some sort of Hilary ghost like the rest of Genoa City. Now Amanda loves the thought of being compared to her sister.
Phyllis may reflect on the similarities and differences between Amanda and Hilary in Monday’s Y&R episode. Amanda will be able to make some connections she never made before and learn more about Hilary, so she should appreciate Phyllis’ willingness to open up.
Finally, The Young and the Restless spoilers say Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) will try to keep their spark alive. Devon’s been working hard to pamper Elena and remind her that she’s his one and only.
Unfortunately, Elena isn’t convinced – and heating things up in the bedroom won’t change that.
This is all building to Elena’s steamy dream about Devon hitting the sheets with the wrong woman. Elena will soon have a nightmare about Devon sleeping with Amanda, so more trouble’s brewing. As other Y&R news and updates come in, we’ll fill you in.
