The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease a long-awaited moment of passion is ahead for two former flames. Ever since Michelle Stafford returned to the role of Phyllis Summers, fans have been wondering when Phyllis’ reunion with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) would happen.
Although we still aren’t there just yet, Phyllis and Nick will take another major step toward rekindling their romance.
At the Newman anniversary gala, Phyllis will show up and suffer through all the speeches glorifying a man she loathes. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is never going to be Phyllis’ favorite person, but she’ll make an appearance at the bash anyway. If there’s a party going on in town, Y&R viewers know Phyllis has to be there stirring the pot!
Phyllis’ presence at the shindig won’t go over well with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway), especially once Phyllis presumably provokes her. The Young and the Restless spoilers say they’ll get into it as usual, so Nick won’t be surprised. He’ll lightheartedly confront Phyllis after the faceoff and wonder what she did this time.
Soon after, Phyllis will plant a passionate kiss and give Nick a little taste of what he’s been missing. It’ll be fun to see if “Phick’s” still got it! Many viewers just weren’t feeling the last Nick and Phyllis reunion, which was back when Gina Tognoni was in the role.
Tognoni is a fantastic actress who had chemistry with many of her Y&R costars, but something about that version of “Phick” just never felt right.
What about Nick and Stafford’s Phyllis? Do you think they deserve another shot? Since these two have been sharing plenty of scenes lately, The Young and the Restless fans have been weighing in on social media. Some are totally feeling the “Phick” love.
“Josh and Michelle’s chemistry is too strong to be waste I hope we will finally get #phick at some point this year,” one fan said on Twitter. “Nick & Phyllis today are what made me fall in love with them years ago,” another supportive viewer said. “[Their] chemistry is effortless & they’re back to being best friends. He’s always looking out for her. I love that. No one gets Phyllis like Nick.”
Of course, there are other Young and the Restless watchers who’d rather skip the “Phick” reboot. It’s old news to them and they aren’t looking for any updates. “I don’t want to see Phyllis…chasing Nick,” one fan insisted. Some Y&R viewers are calling it a “flop pairing” or simply feel that there’s “too much Nick and Phyllis” in general.
