The Young and the Restless Spoilers Review: Thursday, November 12 – Sharon’s Sneaky Adam Visit – Victor Learns of Son’s Attempted Murder

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers review for Thursday, November 12, reveals that more drama’s on the way in Genoa City. At Society, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) discuss Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) spending the night at the hospital with Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz).

Abby has asked them to break the latest news to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who appears and fears Chance has taken a turn for the worse. Victoria admits it’s about how Chance got hurt in the first place and reveals Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is a suspect in the shooting.

At the hospital, Chance is stunned over Abby’s updates. When Chance learns the cops think Adam shot him, he insists he needs to speak with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) right away. Once Rey shows up, Chance explains that he couldn’t see who shot him. However, the one person it couldn’t have been was Adam.

Chance notes that he was arguing with Adam when he caught a glimpse of the gun aimed AT Adam. Rey looks intrigued to learn Chance took the bullet for the intended target.

At Adam’s penthouse, he texts someone to get rid of anything from Newman Tower that can be traced to him before leaving town. Adam sees Young Adam (Dane West), who asks if he’s covering his tracks.

Adam supposes Young Adam wants to see him in prison atoning for his sins. “I just want you to stop hurting people,” Young Adam insists. He wants Adam to promise him it’s over.

Later, Adam mutters to himself about there being no proof. Young Adam says they could still find out, so Adam reflects on what Chelsea knows. He tells Young Adam that Chelsea’s never going to trust him again.

At Crimson Lights, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) tells Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) wasn’t feeling well this morning, so she let her take the day off from school. Sharon guesses maybe stress over Faith’s run-in with Adam brought this on.

Mariah wonders if Faith knows Adam may have shot her aunt Abby’s fiancée. Sharon admits she’s going to talk to Nick before they figure out how to handle that topic with Faith. Sharon is puzzled since Chance was the one friend Adam had in Genoa City. Mariah thinks Adam was obviously going off the rails.

Sharon swings the conversation back to Faith and how this is affecting her in ways she may not even realize yet. At the park, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) wraps up a business call and spots Faith holding her head nearby.

When Phyllis questions her, Faith says she stayed home from school sick and then started heading for the coffeehouse once she felt better.

Faith had to stop because she was woozy, but she turns down Phyllis’ offer to take her back home. When Jordan (Madison Thompson) appears behind Phyllis, Faith shakes her head to get rid of her. Phyllis seems concerned, but Faith downplays everything and thanks Phyllis for checking in.

Phyllis thinks maybe she should call Nick, but Faith assures her there’s no need. Before Phyllis walks away, she makes Faith promise to call if she needs anything. Afterward, Faith brings Jordan up to speed on her chat with her dad’s girlfriend.

Faith notes Phyllis could tell she wasn’t feeling great. “Did you tell her it’s because you’re a total lightweight?” Jordan asks with a laugh. She urges Faith to eat first next time and have some water between drinks.

Jordan feels like Faith needs to know her limits and suggests greasy food to soak up all the alcohol.

Since Jordan has already skipped algebra, she figures she might as well ditch the rest of the school day. Phyllis reappears with water for Faith and meets Jordan, who lies that she has study hall this period.

Jordan adds that she wouldn’t want to miss her next class and dashes off. Phyllis tells Faith they need to talk.

Back at Society, Victoria informs Victor that Abby heard the Adam shooter suspect news from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). Victor doesn’t see why he should believe “Billy Boy.”

Nick says the working theory is that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) didn’t just leave town to figure some things out. He explains that Adam was seemingly behind Chelsea’s disappearance.

Nick adds that Chance went digging before it all went south. Victor doesn’t think it adds up and struggles to believe Adam would kidnap Chelsea. Nick argues that Adam has done way worse.

Victor decides he’s done listening to speculation, so he leaves to get the facts. Nick’s frustrated since Victor seems to rush to Adam’s defense no matter what.

Talk turns to Chelsea and how traumatized she must be. Nick hopes Chelsea testifies against Adam and feels it’d be ironic if Chelsea turned out to be the one who protected the family the most – by putting Adam away.

Victoria gets snippy about Phyllis not returning her texts and calls. Nick feels like there are more important things to worry about than business, but he agrees to talk to Phyllis.

Back at the park, Phyllis tells Faith to come clean about her apparent hangover. Faith admits to having one drink from the bar in Jordan’s basement: vodka with pineapple juice.

Faith says she thought it might calm her down after facing off with Adam, but it was her first drink and she didn’t know how it would affect her. Now that she does, Faith never wants to go through this again. She feels it was just a dumb teenage mistake that won’t happen again, so she doesn’t see the need to tell Nick.

Phyllis insists she can’t make that promise, but Faith resorts to begging. She’s been through a lot this year – and her dad is like her best friend. Faith doesn’t want to let Nick down or change his view of her, so she pleads with Phyllis to keep quiet.

At the coffeehouse, Rey fills Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) on what Chance told him at the hospital. They acknowledge that the list of people who’d want to shoot Adam is long.

Paul says there’s a potential witness in Chelsea’s kidnapping who isn’t willing to talk yet. Paul is hoping this person can be persuaded.

Victor suddenly appears and fishes for info on the shooting. He’s glad to hear Adam is no longer a suspect and hopes a statement will be put out. Paul thinks Adam has bigger problems since he was the intended victim. He shifts gears and points out the Newmans could be in danger.

Paul tells Victor about the troubling plans for Newman Tower along with Chelsea’s kidnapping. He’s going to send a team to sweep the place and investigate. Victor wants his own team involved, too.

Paul says they’ll have to work together, and Victor says he’ll do whatever it takes to save his family.

Back at the hospital, Abby hears the shooting story from Chance. She’s upset about Chance putting his life on the line for Adam, but Chance says Adam did the same for him.

Abby argues that the debt has been paid. “You don’t owe him a damn thing anymore,” Abby insists. Chance isn’t sure it works that way.

Abby says Chance has to start focusing on THEIR family. Chance assures Abby that Rey’s handling the case now, so all he wants to focus on is Abby and them.

At the Chancellor mansion on Thursday’s Young and the Restless episode, Chelsea is relieved to learn Chance has improved. She takes in the news that Adam didn’t shoot Chance, so she feels like at least Adam didn’t sink low enough to shoot his friend.

Rey recaps Chelsea’s info about Adam’s Newman Tower plot and the kidnapping.

Chelsea backtracks a bit since there’s no proof of what Adam’s intentions were – or that he orchestrated the kidnapping. Rey asks if Chelsea’s backing off because Adam or the person responsible is still on the loose. Chelsea is exhausted, but she doesn’t feel very safe. Rey says he can put Chelsea in protective custody, but Chelsea feels that’s a big step.

Rey starts asking questions about where Chelsea went after she escaped the room and what time it was. Chelsea reels as she realizes Rey’s trying to pinpoint where she was at the time of the shooting.

“Is that a joke?!” Chelsea asks. She says she has no reason to shoot Chance, but Rey points out they now believe Adam was the target.

Chelsea protests that she doesn’t own a gun, but Rey says Chelsea might’ve had time to get one. “Wow. Wow. OK, this is crazy!” Chelsea exclaims. She wants a lawyer before she answers any more questions.

At the coffeehouse, Faith snaps at Sharon and then apologizes. Sharon is understanding about it, and Mariah hooks Faith up with some food. As for Nick, he keeps interrupting Phyllis as she tries to tell him about Faith’s hangover.

Phyllis finds out the “rumor on the street” about Adam shooting Chance and bickers with Nick about Victoria. Since Nick’s in a bad mood, Phyllis keeps Faith’s secret.

Once Nick meets up with Faith, he ignores Phyllis’ attempt to get in touch and gives her his undivided attention.

Rey heads to Adam’s place and reveals Chance confirmed Adam was the intended target. He thinks Adam seems awfully chipper considering someone took a shot at him.

“Don’t you know by now? I am indestructible,” Adam says. When Rey mentions Chelsea as a suspect, Adam gets all riled up about Rey and his “dumb-ass” theories.

Rey visits the coffeehouse, so Sharon finds out Adam was supposed to be the shooting victim. She eventually goes running to Adam’s penthouse. Back at Society, Victoria gets updates on someone going after Adam. She tells Victor that Adam is a lost cause and hopes her father can start to accept that.

At the Chancellor mansion, Chelsea seems worried as she looks out the window. She texts Rey about wanting to go into protective custody, so Rey says he’ll send someone to pick Chelsea up.

Once Sharon arrives at Adam’s place, she only has one question. Sharon asks if Adam knows who tried to kill him. Adam doesn’t, so Sharon points out that Rey is putting his life on the line for this investigation. She thinks Adam had better be telling the truth.

Adam is sorry for always dumping things on Sharon and admits he almost went to a place he couldn’t come back from. Sharon finds that vague and thinks Adam would come clean to her if he were truly sorry.

She feels it’s best if they keep their distance from now on. Adam says Sharon doesn’t have to worry about him anymore; he knows what he needs to do.

Chelsea packs up some of her stuff to go into protective custody. She’s startled when Adam suddenly appears in the living room. Adam puts his hands up like he comes in peace.

Back at the hospital on Thursday’s Y&R episode, Abby freaks as Chance struggles to breathe. She runs into the hall to yell for help.
