The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Thursday, September 3, tease that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will take her first step toward the truth. In Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Amanda discovers that Hilary Curtis Hamilton (Mishael Morgan) has the same rare blood type as her.
That leads to a conversation with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and the decision to seek answers.
Of course, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) is the key to providing those answers since he’s the one who could hand over a DNA sample. Devon surely has an old hairbrush of Hilary’s packed up somewhere.
Despite deciding to seek the truth, Amanda will really have to work up her nerve to talk to Devon. This is such a sensitive subject since Hilary is dead and Amanda looks just like her.
Devon recently admitted that he’d gotten used to Amanda having the same face, but that’s just another reason why Amanda won’t want to rock the boat. Amanda’s formed a friendship with Devon, so she won’t want to rock the boat or cause him distress.
However, Amanda won’t be able to rest until she follows up on this blood type lead. That’s why when Amanda sees Devon next, she’ll ask about Hilary’s birthday. Amanda will think that’d be a good place to start since she now wants the real story.
Devon will be perplexed by Amanda’s inquisitiveness, so she’ll explain what happened at the clinic with Nate when she donated blood.
Devon will get updates on them having the same birthday before Amanda admits her birthday was estimated to be July 2 – at least as best as the authorities could guess with an abandoned baby. That’ll leave Devon unsettled since Hilary was born on July 1.
It’s obviously close enough to mean Amanda and Hilary could be identical twin sisters. Amanda will admit she’s ready to find out, but whether they do that or not is up to Devon. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Amanda will give Devon some time to mull it over.
If Devon chooses not to hand over something that could provide a DNA sample for Hilary, Amanda will promise to be understanding about it. They don’t ever have to bring it up again if that’s what Devon wants. Nevertheless, this could be Hilary’s sister! How could Devon just leave the mystery unsolved?
Devon will indeed take time to contemplate this decision, but he should be on board with finding out the truth before the week’s over. Over with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan), her fury will explode. Will Chelsea go off on Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) again for thinking she’s the only one who can save Adam?
Chelsea should be pleased Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) decided to stay in town, but she won’t be pleased if he admits it’s because of Sharon. Adam might reveal that info as proof that Sharon’s helping him, but Chelsea could feel even more threatened over something like that. Why will Adam listen to Sharon and not his own fiancée?
Chelsea knows Adam’s struggling right now, but she might go off on Adam as well. It’s clear that Adam and Sharon’s growing connection is becoming a bigger problem, so they’ll both probably get earfuls again and again. We’ll fill you in as other Y&R news emerges.
