The Young and the Restless Spoilers Update: Friday, December 4 – Adam’s Bold Connor Move – Sharon Done Helping – Billy Threatens Lawsuit

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Friday, December 4, reveals that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) pays Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) a visit to discuss Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) freedom.

The 72-hour hold has been lifted and Adam has conned his doctors according to Victor. Now that Adam’s roaming around again, Victor feels he’s in jeopardy along with Sharon.

At the penthouse, Adam enters the penthouse and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) moments later. Adam reveals that he’s been released after “72 hours of hell.”

Chelsea explains how no one would tell her what mental hospital Adam was being held in. She wanted to talk to Adam about their future, so Adam wants to know what Chelsea’s decided.

Chelsea mentions seeing Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) for Thanksgiving and how she had to lie to him about why Adam wasn’t with her. Adam would’ve given anything to be there.

Chelsea admits that everything they talked about before still stands. She has questions about trust and is overwhelmed.

Chelsea has had this constant, awful headache trying to figure out her future with Adam. He doesn’t blame her for feeling uncertain and talks about how he wanted to punish Victor over being committed.

The only thing that helped Adam during his time locked up was Chelsea and the thought that they might put their family back together.

Adam has made his case and poured his heart out, but he’s out of words. He’ll give Chelsea the time and privacy she needs to make her decision. Adam starts to leave, but Chelsea stops him and admits she’s made up her mind. She knows what she wants.

At the Chancellor mansion, Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) is worried about how things went down with Chelsea. Since Chloe forced Chelsea to choose between their friendship or Adam, she’s fears she pushed Chelsea over the edge and straight into Adam’s arms.

Kevin insists that if Chelsea takes Adam back, it won’t be because of Chloe. It’ll be because of Chelsea and Adam’s sick bond that’s hard to break. Chloe still feels she pushed her best friend away and would do anything to take it all back.

In Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) suite at The Grand Phoenix, clothes are on the floor as Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) wakes up in her bed. Lily emerges from the bathroom in her robe, and they do plenty of flirting.

After Lily mentions breakfast, that’s the last thing Billy’s thinking about. “Last night was magical, and I would like some more,” Billy says. Lily laughs, takes her robe off and throws it at Billy.

Downstairs in the lobby, Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) catches up with Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell). Christine mentions leaning toward private practice – and Nina talks about her latest screenplay plans. Christine suggests Nina should move back to Genoa City and insists she misses Nina.

At Society, Billy and Lily are still riding high off their night together. After Billy spots Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso), he corners the detective and causes a scene.

Billy hints that Rey should be off looking for the real assailant, unless Rey’s already found him. In that case, Billy will take an apology and two mimosas – one for him and one for Lily.

Rey says he’ll be thrilled if the evidence points at someone else, but Billy doesn’t care how Rey feels about it. “Adam is setting me up with a bunch of cooked up evidence,” Billy says. He feels like Adam has clearly lost his mind.

Billy invites Rey to go ahead and arrest him. When the truth comes out, Billy will sue Rey and the GCPD. He suggests that’s the road they’ll be headed down, but Rey counters that the only road they’re going down is the one that leads to justice.

Back at the coffeehouse, Sharon isn’t afraid of Adam and considers the possibility that Adam had a real breakthrough. Victor thinks that’d take a “hell of a shrink” to happen in 72 hours. He argues that Sharon is the only professional that Adam is willing to deal with. “He needs you,” Victor insists.

Sharon feels like she’s done her part and argues this is where it ends for her. Victor protests that the job’s unfinished, but Sharon stands her ground. She thinks Chelsea is the person Adam should be talking to, but Victor asks Sharon to think about everything he’s said.

Back with Chelsea, she confesses what’s in her heart. “I want you, Adam. I want our family back,” Chelsea admits. It means so much for Adam to hear those words. Chelsea feels guilty about not being able to stop Victor from having Adam committed, but Adam doesn’t want Chelsea to blame herself.

Chelsea says she wants their future to start right now. “No more roadblocks. No more doubts,” Chelsea adds. Adam wonders if he’s dreaming this, but Chelsea invites Adam upstairs so she can show him it’s real. She smiles and beckons Adam seductively.

At The Grand Phoenix again, Nina tells Christine that it’s tempting to move back to GC, but it’s just not the right time. Chance Chancellor (Justin Gaston) needs the time and space to carve out his own life. Nina also has her career to think about and needs to stay in Los Angeles.

Lauren Baldwin (Tracey E. Bregman) arrives and gets updates on Christine’s effort to make Nina move home. They all discuss the wedding and Chance’s happy ending following the shooting ordeal. Nina doesn’t want to take the good times for granted. The ladies all gab about the past and share a few laughs.

Nina ends up talking about how she wants Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) to find who shot her son and put him away for a long time. Part of Nina wishes Christine were still the DA, though she has nothing against Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc).

Back with Billy, he’s 100-percent convinced that Adam’s behind his setup. Lily doubts it and thinks Billy’s making Adam sound like a mastermind villain. Billy fully believes Adam would be willing to take a bullet just to take him down. As for Chance, Billy assumes he just got in the way – wrong place, wrong time.

Lily argues that Adam setting Billy up is too predictable. Billy suggests Victor instead, but Lily feels like it’d be too dangerous for Victor to take a shot at his own son. When Billy brings up Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), Lily can’t even take that seriously.

“I’m running out of bullets,” Billy says. Lily jokes about Billy’s choice of words, and he asks her what if he’s guilty. Lily says that’d mean she just spent the night with a very dangerous man. Billy suggests maybe they should “return to the scene of the crime.”

Nearby, Rey looks intense as he talks to Michael. Billy notices and feels like that can’t be good news. Once Billy heads back to Chancellor Communications with Lily, he’s distracted. Billy knows Rey and Michael’s meeting could’ve been about anything, but he fears it was about him.

At the penthouse, Chelsea thinks they have to stick to their initial plan to get away from Genoa City. Adam agrees they should leave, but there’s one last thing to take care of. He wants to talk to Victor and sort a few things out, which concerns Chelsea.

Adam insists it’s about Connor – something good he hopes. Adam doesn’t want to say more until he has a conversation with Victor first. He asks Chelsea to pack him a bag so they can leave immediately. They can send for the rest of their things later.

After Adam leaves, Chelsea grips her head in pain. She calls Chloe, who’s out of the room and misses her buzzing phone at the Chancellor mansion. Chelsea winces over her headache again and takes a trip upstairs – leaving her phone on the coffee table as she goes.

Chloe realizes she’s missed a call from Chelsea later and calls back, but she gets Chelsea’s voicemail. In her message, Chloe hopes Chelsea is OK. She disconnects before Chelsea returns downstairs at the penthouse. Chelsea’s headache seems to be getting worse as she battles more pain and looks like she’s in a fog.

At Newman Enterprises on Friday’s Y&R episode, Victor shows up and talks to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). They ponder what Adam wants, but Victoria has no idea. “This meeting could go in a hundred different directions – and most of them bad,” Victoria contends.

Even so, Victoria says they’re in this together and refuses to go home.

Adam shows up moments later and reveals he’s leaving town with Chelsea. Where they’re going is no one’s business. That’s music to Victoria’s ears, but she points out that Adam was plotting against them the last time he said that.

Although Adam wants to hit back and burn this town to the ground, he’s not going to. Getting away from them is the best thing for Adam and how he’ll get better.

Adam says he’ll sign the contract Victoria wanted and leave on one condition: Everything that was meant for Adam should go to Connor. Adam wants Connor to have his fair share as a Newman, “whatever that means.” If they’ll add that to the document, Adam will sign it – and they’ll never have to hear from him again.

Afterward on Friday’s Young and the Restless episode, Victor worries Adam still needs help. Victoria doesn’t think Adam’s curable and hopes he’s not their problem anymore.

As for the shooter, Victoria’s certain it wasn’t Billy. After Victor rants about that “SOB” and how he trusts the law to take care of things for him, Victoria implies that Victor might’ve set Billy up.

“It better not be you, Dad,” Victoria insists. If Victoria finds out Victor’s behind this, she warns she won’t forgive him. Back at Chancellor Communications, Rey arrives to arrest Billy for Chance’s attempted murder. Lily announces she’ll go get Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) as Rey reads Billy his rights.

When Adam comes home, he sees that Chelsea has passed out on the staircase and panics. The Young and the Restless spoilers say some shocking moments are still to come in GC, so keep watching Y&R.
