The Young and the Restless spoilers review for Wednesday, March 11, tease that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will head to the Newman Ranch to visit with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) ahead of his first day as Interim CEO of Newman Enterprises. Victoria will be on the couch resting, but she’ll say she’s getting stronger every day. Nick will try to joke with her about not screwing things up too badly at Newman, but she’ll worry that perhaps he’s not ready to take the CEO spot.
Victoria will lament about how frustrating it is having to take a step back from the company and she’ll get irritated as she talks about how it wasn’t fair that fate stepped in and took this job from her. Nick will respond by joking again about his qualifications on taking the job, and she’ll get upset, saying that he should walk away if his heart isn’t in it. Victoria will then get tired and lay down on the couch, covering herself in a blanket.
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will walk in and Nick will whisper to her that Victoria seems off and he’ll wonder if she’s ok. He’ll worry that perhaps she needs to see a doctor, and Nikki will say that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) is on his way as they speak. Nick will take off, and later Nate will arrive and examine Victoria. Afterwards, he’ll talk to her a bit about her plan for going back to work, and she’ll say she doesn’t want to talk about that now.
Victoria will slump back down onto the couch, and Nikki will talk privately with Nate, asking him how Victoria is doing. Nate will say that physically, Victoria is healing well, but Nikki will say, “that’s not my daughter over there.” She’ll wonder what’s going on with Victoria psychologically, and Nate will say that Victoria suffered from PTSD after the JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill) ordeal, and that the stabbing may have been a setback.
Nikki will wonder what they can do for Victoria, and Nate will say to keep an eye on her for now and give her time to open up about what she’s been through. Nikki won’t like the sound of that, but there won’t be much she can do about it. Right now, it seems like Victoria simply doesn’t want to face the trauma of what happened to her, but sooner or later the terror and feelings from the attack could come flooding back.
Meanwhile, on the new episode of Y&R on Wednesday, March 11, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will trade barbs with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) at the Grand Phoenix. Abby will needle Phyllis about the new property she’s going to build across the street, and Phyllis will launch into a monologue about how she was recently burgled at the hotel. Abby will feign surprise, but Phyllis will know better.
Through the course of their conversation, Phyllis will say that she’s not contacting the police about the theft of her thumb drive and the destruction of her computer; she’s going to deal with this on her own. Abby will be smug until Phyllis notes that whoever broke into her room should know that there’s nothing safer than a safe deposit box.
Later, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) will arrive at the Grand Phoenix and learn from Abby that Phyllis has a copy of the recording of him and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in a safe deposit box somewhere. Chance will say that they need access to the safe deposit box, and Abby will impersonate Phyllis on the spot, impressing him. They’ll decide that Abby will impersonate Phyllis to get access to the recording.
Finally, at Jabot, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will meet with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). He’ll assume that she called him there to berate him, but she’ll surprise him by asking him how he’s doing with everything that’s been going on. He’ll note that she’s the first person to ask him that, and they’ll hug.
Throughout their conversation, Ashley will learn that Ripley Turner (Christian Keyes) pled guilty to attacking Victoria, so there will be no trial. Billy will tell Ashley about that terrible night, and she’ll empathize with him. She’ll say that he needs a new, exciting challenge, and she’ll encourage him to take Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) up on her job offer at Chancellor. Billy will say that he’ll talk to Jill and see what happens.
Talk will then turn to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams), and Ashley will share her feelings about her mother’s decline with Billy. She’ll say that she’s in a weird place because she can’t grieve yet since Dina’s still alive, yet she’s slipping away from them so quickly. She’ll note that she doesn’t know how to let go and say goodbye to someone who has had such a huge impact on her life.
It’s great to see Billy and Ashley getting along, especially since they spent much of the past year being at odds over Jabot. Billy seemed to just need a little support and someone who cared about him to get him to consider Jill’s job offer. Ongoing Y&R spoilers indicate that Billy will take a position at Chancellor, which will be a great first step for him to get his life back on track.
