Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, January 11 Recap – Tripp & Ava Reunited – Charlie Demands a Lawyer – Brady Helps Philip

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, January 11, reveal that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) reeled after hearing from Chloe Lane (Nadia Bjorlin) that Philip Kiriakis (Jay Kenneth Johnson) was on the hook to launder mob money.

As they sat in Town Square, Brady offered to help Philip, who said he didn’t want help.

Chloe insisted that Philip tell Brady the whole story, and so Philip spilled about how Mimi Lockhart (Farah Fath) pulled him back into gambling and how the whole thing was a setup so that Philip would have to launder money for the mob.

Chloe told Brady that the person Philip was dealing with was Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), and Brady was stunned.

When Chloe stepped away to take a call, Brady said that he’d help Philip on one condition – that Philip stayed away from Chloe. Philip said that he didn’t want Chloe involved any more than Brady did, so he agreed. Brady took off, and Philip insisted to Chloe that she shouldn’t have told Brady about Ava.

At the Brady Pub, Nicole Brady (Arianne Zucker) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold) dined, and Nicole noticed that Allie was very quiet. Allie explained that she was starting to doubt that Tripp Dalton (Lucas Adams) was guilty of the rape, and she explained how John Black (Drake Hogestyn) thought that a blood relative of Tripp’s might have committed the assault.

Allie got a call from John saying that he was stuck in traffic and that he didn’t want to explain everything until he got there, but that he had Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) on the case. Allie and Nicole decided to go get some answers from Rafe about what was going on.

At the Salem PD, Rafe started interrogating Charlie Dale (Mike C. Manning). Charlie tried to act all innocent when Rafe said that he found Ava tied up in the apartment. Charlie said that he didn’t know who Ava was and that he had nothing to say about it. “What possible reason would I have to tie up some random woman?” Charlie asked innocently.

Rafe then confronted Charlie with the fact that Ava is his mother, and he said that Angelo Vitali (Angelo Tiffe) had talked with John and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols). Rafe mused that kidnapping was a crime, and that the DNA suggested that Ava’s son might have raped Allie.

Charlie insisted that he never saw Allie before Christmas Eve. Rafe asked if Charlie was in London at the time of the rape, and Charlie evaded the question. Rafe then said that Charlie could clear this whole thing up by taking a DNA test. Charlie suddenly clammed up and wanted a lawyer.

Rafe went to the squad room, where Nicole and Allie showed up. Rafe broke the news to Allie and Nicole about Ava being found in Charlie’s apartment and how Charlie’s the kidnapping suspect.

Rafe went on, saying that Charlie could be Ava’s son, which immediately got Allie thinking. Rafe said that Charlie could be the person who assaulted Allie.

Nicole insisted that Rafe go in there and get Charlie to confess, but Rafe explained that Charlie had lawyered up and that he needed to go to the hospital and get a statement from Ava so he could arrest Charlie for the kidnapping. Allie suddenly decided to go back to the pub, and after Nicole and Rafe left for the hospital, Allie returned.

At Ava’s apartment, Steve arrived and found Tripp there. Steve disclosed that Angelo had been in prison at the time of the rape, but that Ava had another son. Tripp was stunned to learn that he had a half-brother and that it was most likely Charlie. Tripp recalled meeting Charlie before, and he wondered if Charlie had anything to do with Ava’s disappearance.

At the hospital, Kayla Brady (Mary Beth Evans) went into Ava’s room. Ava wanted desperately to go see Tripp, but Kayla refused to release Ava in her condition. Eventually, Kayla snuck up on Ava and gave her a sedative and Ava passed out. A bit later, Steve called Kayla, and Kayla asked him and Tripp to come to the hospital asap.

Tripp and Steve found Kayla at the nurses’ station, where Kayla relayed that Ava may have been drugged and wasn’t in her right mind. Tripp went off to see Ava, and Kayla told Steve about how Rafe found Ava tied up. “When he went to question Charlie,” Steve realized.

In Ava’s room, Tripp was reunited with a sedated but awake Ava. Tripp comforted his mother, then asked about Charlie. Ava admitted that she hadn’t told Tripp about Charlie to protect him.

Ava said that she’d tell Tripp and the police everything she knows about Charlie, then Ava hallucinated again, “seeing” Charlie with a knife about to stab Tripp.

Near the nurses’ station, Steve and Kayla sat and talked. Kayla said that she felt awful for Claire Brady (Isabel Durant), but that she hoped that it was true, and Tripp wasn’t Allie’s assailant. Steve noted everything that Tripp and Allie have been through, and Kayla thought that Charlie could be extremely dangerous.

Back at the Salem PD, Allie entered the interrogation room, surprising Charlie. “What are you doing in here,” Charlie asked, trying to sound innocent. “I’m not leaving this room until you tell me the truth,” Allie said.
