Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Monday, July 12 Recap – Ciara’s New Wedding Date – Chad Goads Ben – Julie’s Horrifying Realization

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, July 12, reveals that Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal) wanted to set a new wedding date while Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) pushed Ben Weston’s (Robert Scott Wilson) buttons. Julie Williams (Susan Seaforth Hayes) also had a horrifying realization, so here’s how it all played out on Monday’s Days episode.

At the pub, Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) found Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and admitted he thought Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) was hiding something with Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer).

Jack explained how Gwen had been questioned by the cops and acting suspicious along with Xander, so he wanted Steve to investigate for him.

Steve admitted he might already know something and confided about what Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) had learned about the stolen drug drama at the hospital.

Steve was concerned about Gwen being caught up in all that due to the tension with Dr. Clay Snyder (Michael Lowry), so Jack asked if was accusing his daughter of being a drug dealer.

Steve was just passing along what he knew so far, but Jack wanted him to follow the trail no matter where it might lead.

They both hoped it wouldn’t lead back to Gwen, but neither seemed all that optimistic about it.

Meanwhile, Julie flew off the handle when she saw shirtless Xander on top of Gwen as they prepared to hook up on the Horton sofa.

Julie ranted about the interlopers trying to turn the Horton house into a sordid den of iniquity, but Xander thought she should worry less about the furniture and more about the invited guests in her home.

After Julie calmed down, she asked Gwen and Xander to at least take this upstairs if they were going to “fornicate like rabbits.”

Once Julie was gone, Xander wanted to pick up where he left off with Gwen.

However, Gwen felt like “Granny” killed the mood and didn’t think they should be sleeping together anyway. She didn’t want to give Jack another reason to be suspicious of their connection.

At Julie’s Place, Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) asked Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) to be her matron of honor, so Kayla wondered when Justin Kiriakis (Wally Kurth) proposed.

Bonnie admitted that it hadn’t happened yet and explained how she planned to pop the question instead.

Kayla thought this seemed a bit fast and questioned if she was the right choice anyway since she was Justin’s ex-fiancée.

Nevertheless, Bonnie talked about how Justin made her feel truly loved for the first time.

Bonnie pointed out that if someone respectable like Dr. Kayla Johnson gave this marriage her seal of approval, no one in town would think it was a joke.

Kayla decided Bonnie should propose first and get back to her, but she wished Bonnie luck and hoped it all worked out like she wanted.

At the DiMera mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Chad was putting out the fire in the fireplace when Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) arrived with his engagement news.

Chad was thrilled and suggested a game of chess, so they sat down and talked about Theo’s relationship with Ciara.

Theo admitted he couldn’t stop thinking about what Chad said back when he was considering getting together with Ciara – that Ciara could get her memory back.

However, Chad argued that was months ago and that there was no sign of Ciara’s memory returning.

After Theo explained how Ben was putting up a fight on the divorce, Chad insisted that Ciara chose the better man. Chad knew it was probably wrong to say it, but he hoped Ciara never got her memory back.

The conversation shifted to Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller), so Chad offered updates on Gwen’s miscarriage and how Abigail blamed herself.

Chad added that Abigail needed to get away for a while, so she went to Boston to spend some time with Jennifer Deveraux (Cady McClain).

Suddenly, Chad exclaimed “checkmate” and got reassurance that Theo didn’t let him win out of pity.

At the Kiriakis mansion on Monday’s Days episode, Ciara insisted that Justin was family and would be her attorney.

Ben argued that Justin was already his lawyer and mentioned how Justin represented him when he was on death row.

Ciara flipped out over that shocker and learned that Ben had been accused of strangling his sister. She thought this was more proof that they shouldn’t be together.

Ben disagreed and pointed out that Ciara was the one who helped prove he was innocent. Justin backed Ben up and decided the best thing he could do was stay out of this.

Justin offered to email a list of qualified attorneys in town and advised them to try talking right there in neutral territory.

Ben felt like Ciara should just call the whole thing off – that all the trouble Ciara was running into was a sign.

Ciara didn’t believe in signs, but Ben argued that Ciara would still be under a pile of rubble if he hadn’t followed his gut.

Ben mentioned their anniversary was next Thursday and that they shouldn’t be hiring attorneys.

They should be planning a beautiful romantic evening and needed to take the second chance they’d be given.

Ciara ranted about how Ben spewing all this “lovey-dovey crap” at her wouldn’t change anything, so she still intended to find a lawyer and divorce him.

Ben fired back that he’d find his own lawyer and stop Ciara.

After Ben left the Kiriakis mansion, he bumped into Chad. That gave Chad an opportunity to gloat about Theo making Ciara his new fiancée.

Chad said he couldn’t wait to go to that wedding and gushed about what good news it was. He told Ben to have a nice day before sauntering off.

In the town square, Ciara met up with Theo and revealed that Justin wouldn’t agree to represent her. She assured Theo that the wedding was still happening and added that she wanted to get married as soon as possible.

“In fact, what are you doing next Thursday?” Ciara asked – clearly wanting to turn her old anniversary with Ben into her new wedding date with Theo.

Back at Julie’s Place, Justin showed up for his date with Bonnie and found out she had something important to talk about.

After plenty of nervous buildup, Bonnie asked Justin if he would marry her. Justin sat there stunned for a moment before he told Bonnie his answer was no.

At the Horton house again, Julie checked out a news story on her tablet about Dr. Snyder’s death remaining a mystery.

Julie thought the doc looked familiar and then had a moment of realization after looking at the sofa. “He’s the deadbeat!” Julie exclaimed on Monday’s DOOL episode.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Julie will cause some serious issues for Xander and Gwen, so stay tuned. CDL will have other hot Days of Our Lives spoilers, updates and news, so make us your one-stop DOOL source.
