Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, December 1, reveals that Lucas Horton (Bryan Dattilo) got captive Sami Brady DiMera’s (Alison Sweeney) location while Ava Vitali’s (Tamara Braun) mob threat helped Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) flee. Here’s how all the DOOL action played out.
At home on Wednesday’s Days show, Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) welcomed Abe Carver (James Reynolds) in and admitted Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) wasn’t there right now. Abe knew Lani was still struggling with the news that he wasn’t her biological father and acknowledged that he’d been keeping his distance.
After Abe recapped his intense phone call with Tamara Price (Marilyn McCoo), he enjoyed a visit with Carver Grant. Abe seemed sad as he inquired about whether the little boy’s name might be changed, but Eli shut down that idea quickly. He made it clear that Abe was still the twins’ grandfather just like Theo Carver (Cameron Johnson) was still their uncle.
At the Salem PD on Wednesday’s Days episode, Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) insisted the prison transport van would be coming for Kristen within the hour. Kristen muttered about it being too soon, so Rafe sarcastically wondered if she had some pressing appointment.
Kristen covered by acting like she hadn’t had time to say her goodbyes, but Rafe didn’t know who would want to talk to Kristen anyway. Lani entered and replied that her best friend did, so she joined Kristen at the interrogation room table.
Kristen could tell something was wrong, so Lani spilled that Abe wasn’t her birth father and that Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) was actually her mother, not her aunt. Lani struggled since she felt like she was losing her perfect father, but Kristen mentioned her own adoption and pointed out some things matter more than blood.
While Kristen consoled Lani and urged her to face Abe, Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) pushed Susan Banks (Stacy Haiduk) to remember how she called to warn him about Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) and Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) just before their betrayal.
Susan finally realized this happened this past March and clarified that Kristen was posing as her back then. The wheels started turning for Xander as he decided he needed to pay Kristen a visit next.
At the Salem Inn, Ava barged in the hotel suite and urged Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) to stop playing dumb since they had work to do. She wanted a drink, so she guzzled a mini liquor bottle as they exchanged info on how Kristen was blackmailing them and how much was at stake in their love lives.
Ava asked what skills Gwen had, so she admitted to drugging her half-sister and seducing her husband. Although Ava found those skills impressive, she didn’t think they’d be useful in this case.
Ava finally settled on a plan and got Gwen to back her up as they confronted the prison van driver (AJ McLean) and another prison guard (Christopher Matthew Cook). After Ava tossed her mob family name around, she threatened to target the men’s loved ones if they didn’t take Kristen wherever she wanted to go.
Ava also insisted Gwen was an associate known as “the nanny” since she knew how to deal with disobedient boys. In the end, the driver and guard surrendered to the mob threat by going along with Kristen’s escape plot.
Back at the Salem PD, Xander insisted on seeing Kristen and asked about the phone call she made to alert him to Sarah’s cheating. Kristen acted like she did Xander a favor, but he didn’t see why she would since she wouldn’t normally lift a finger to help anyone.
Xander asked if Kristen manipulated it so that Sarah would choose Rex, but Kristen denied it – though she did have a confession to make since she was trying to stall Rafe on the prison transport.
Gwen also showed up claiming she saw Xander’s car outside and thought he might be in trouble. However, Xander clarified he was there to confront Kristen, who finally said her confession was that she didn’t do Xander a favor. She took great pleasure in Xander’s broken heart.
Kristen was handed over to the prison van driver and guard, but she was ultimately released from her handcuffs. She didn’t know for sure where they were going yet, but she wanted to get as far away from Salem as possible and strutted off with them.
Back with Xander, he strolled through the town square with a nervous Gwen and still wondered if maybe there was more to Kristen’s story. Nevertheless, Xander accepted that Sarah chose Rex and thought that was all that really mattered.
When Lani returned home, she found Abe there and faced some awkward moments with him. Abe started to leave, but Lani stopped him since they needed to talk.
At an undisclosed location, Sami tried to flee after knocking out Jason the guard. She ran into trouble since there was another locked door, but she ran back for Jason’s keys and frantically tried to open it.
Unfortunately, the key broke in the lock and forced another change of plans. Sami got Jason’s burner phone and called Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), who was alarmed to learn her mother had been kidnapped and held hostage since August.
Lucas was sitting across from Allie at the pub, so he urged her to get Jason’s smartphone and try to send him her current location. Sami had to knock Jason out again and faced a challenge trying to get a message through with such poor reception, but she finally succeeded.
Once Lucas had Sami’s location on his own phone, he let Sami know he was coming to her rescue and rushed out the door. We’ll bring you updates as other Days details emerge.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Lucas will have a fierce fight on his hands as he works to free Sami from captivity, so stay tuned to DOOL. CDL’s where you want to be for thrilling Days of Our Lives spoilers, news and updates, so make us your go-to source.
