General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Austin’s (Roger Howarth) real identity will be exposed, so the show will let us see why he’s obsessed with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and what that’ll mean for this mysterious character’s future.
So far, Austin still hasn’t told anyone his last name, so there has to be a good reason for that. It seems like Austin’s last name is going to jog the memory of longtime fans or connect the dots somehow.
GH writers should be saving that as a crucial piece of the puzzle.
Austin also talked about his family being from Pautauk as part of his explanation for all the properties he owned there. That’s another clue on the path to revealing Austin’s true identity.
It’s all about building a list of hints that’ll come together in the end.
There’s been some speculation that Austin might be the previously unknown son of Jimmy Lee Holt (Steve Bond), who moved to Pautauk in the late 1980s.
Jimmy Lee Holt was Edward Quartermaine’s (David Lewis) illegitimate child, so that’d make Austin part of the Quartermaine clan if Jimmy Lee is his father.
However, that doesn’t really explain Austin’s fixation on Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). Austin stopped to look at the “Michael Corinthos Center for Pediatric Head Injuries” sign at GH.
Austin was also interested in Michael possibly taking over as CEO of ELQ again. Fans saw that Austin was curious about that news story on his phone, so there’s some sort of link between Austin and Michael.
Another theory might be if Austin is connected to Michael’s deceased biological father, AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan). Could Austin be a long-lost sibling of AJ’s?
General Hospital has offered up quite a mystery to unravel, but there are sure to be a few more clues before they reveal the big picture.
Based on the hints the show’s offered so far, having some sort of Quartermaine family connection seems like the most likely option.
General Hospital spoilers confirm that Austin will be tied to a significant Port Charles family – and the Quartermaine fam is indeed a significant one in PC.
