General Hospital (GH) spoilers for Friday, July 30, tease that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will bust Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Chase (Katelyn MacMullen) while Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) have a shooter showdown. Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) playbook will also be used, so let’s talk about all the action ahead.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will snap about how Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) needs to back off.
It looks like Austin Gatlin Quartermaine (Roger Howarth) may be the source of contention.
Valentin will hope he can use Austin to his advantage, but Brook Lynn won’t want her fake “baby daddy” making a bigger mess.
Brook Lynn’s priority is keeping “Bailey Quartermaine” aka Louise August (Harper and Scarlett Bloom) safe, so she’ll try to keep Austin at a distance.
As for Austin, he’ll ask Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) if he needs to watch his back the way Valentin says.
Valentin is a Quartermaine outsider and may remind Austin to stay on guard.
However, Chase might think it’s better for Austin to decide things for himself instead of taking Valentin’s word for it!
Meanwhile, Liz will fill Nikolas in on her conversation with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
Liz will point out that Nikolas had Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) shot and won’t like the fact that she’s having to cover for him.
Nevertheless, Nikolas may plead with Liz to just keep her mouth shut and let the investigation hit a dead end.
Nik will hope Sam and Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore) won’t find anything – and Sam will indeed deliver some bad news to Shawn soon.
Perhaps Sam will admit she’s made no real progress, but she won’t give up.
Shawn won’t back down either, so the hunt for Hayden’s shooter will still be on. This is bound to lead to big trouble for Nikolas sooner or later.
Speaking of trouble, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will stir up more of it.
Spencer just offered Ava Jerome (Maura West) a truce, which left her looking a bit suspicious.
That’s good considering Spencer is still shady and willing to manipulate things. There’ll be plenty of tension when the show picks back up with this discussion.
Spencer will sit down with Ava on Friday’s GH episode and wonder why she’s sending Nikolas mixed signals.
Since Spencer spied Ava and Nikolas in a hug, he may push Ava to cut off contact.
Spencer might argue that Ava’s just making this harder on Nikolas by giving him hints of hope.
Next, Michael will suggest he’s going to take a page out of Jason’s book.
It seems Michael will explain some behavior or part of Jason’s personality that he wants to emulate these days.
Of course, Michael’s goal will remain to be patient and understanding while Willow is stuck in her current marriage.
Unfortunately, that plan won’t last long since Michael and Willow will end up in a close moment later.
Carly will walk in on Willow and Michael looking awfully cozy, so she’ll fish to find out what they’re doing.
Carly is relentless, so she may not be willing to let this go.
Carly could speculate that Michael and Willow’s lingering connection had something to do with Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ (Ingo Rademacher) blackmail.
We’ll see if Michael and Willow decide to let Carly join the secret circle or just leave her with questions and concerns.
