General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will be willing to do whatever it takes to keep her baby safe from Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Peter is determined to be in his child’s life and has insisted Maxie should know better than to try to keep them apart.
Maxie has been trying to give Peter just enough hope to protect herself and the baby, but time is running out. That’s because this baby will be born before you know it – and once that happens, it’ll become a great deal harder to keep Peter away from his little girl.
Maxie is starting to form the first rumblings of a plan and will rely on Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) to help her pull it off. As the details continue to call into place for Maxie, she’ll pitch her idea to Britt and most likely get a skeptical response.
Britt knows Peter is just like Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), so he’s obsessed and incredibly dangerous. If Peter catches on, it could have deadly consequences for Maxie and put her newborn at risk.
Not to mention Maxie’s plan will require them both to show off their acting skills and could put Britt’s job at GH on the line.
Nevertheless, General Hospital spoilers say Maxie will feel like she has no choice but to do something drastic. She’ll believe she has to get sneaky to beat Peter at his own game and convince him he can’t be in his daughter’s life.
The best way to do that is to make Peter believe that Baby Lou is dead!
That’s exactly what Maxie will have in mind when she fills Britt in on her scheme to fake her baby’s death and get Peter off her back. Maxie might argue that once Peter believes the baby’s gone forever, she can tell him she needs time to heal on her own.
Perhaps Maxie will hope there’ll be enough evidence for Peter’s arrest soon after. Regardless, Maxie will think she can deal with Peter’s fixation if he’s still pestering her at that point.
The main thing will be getting Baby Lou safely out of the picture until Peter can be eliminated one way or another.
Of course, there are a thousand ways this plot could go wrong, but Maxie will feel like it’s what needs to be done for the safety of her unborn daughter. Can Maxie dupe Peter with a dead daughter – and for how long? We’ll provide updates as other GH news becomes available.
