General Hospital Spoilers: Monday, May 10 Recap – Cyrus Predicts Peter’s Death – Nurse Chloe Swap – Sonny & Nina Plot

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, May 10, reveals that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) was irritated over Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) sitting up when he could rip out his stitches. They were hiding out in a barn on Cassadine property, but Britt didn’t think anyone would go looking for them there.

Jason noted that the hay was fresh and the building was maintained, so he felt there had to be a caretaker who could walk in at any moment. He felt the first rule was to sleep in shifts, so Britt guessed she made a “crappy fugitive.”

That news surprised Jason since Britt had spent time on the run with Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), but Britt admitted they stayed in five-star hotels and didn’t rough it like this.

At home, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) gave Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) a pep talk before taking a call from Jason. Carly admitted that the other heads of the families backed her at the five families meeting.

Carly got reassurance from Jason that he was OK, but she felt terrible about the way their plan turned out. After Carly wrapped up the call, Josslyn argued that nobody could make Jason do something he didn’t want to do.

Carly disagreed since she believed she was the one person who could. She felt she abused the power she had over Jason and thought this was all her fault.

Josslyn insisted that Jason had never given Carly a reason to doubt his judgment, so they shared a warm mother-daughter moment as Carly cried. Back in the barn, Britt became overwhelmed during an argument with Jason and announced she was out.

Fortunately, Britt later returned with coffee and scolded Jason for being up moving around.

After Britt marveled over Jason being the kind of person who knew what he wanted to do and just did it, she assumed Jason knew she wouldn’t really leave him.

“Yeah, I did know that,” Jason confessed on Monday’s General Hospital episode. Britt encouraged Jason to get some sleep, so she helped him down on the ground and watched him pensively.

At the Metro Court, Peter August (Wes Ramsey) assured Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) that if Britt were to disappear permanently, he’d have no problem with that.

Peter felt like things were looking up, but Cyrus felt Peter was an idiot who had about a week left to live. Cyrus thought Jason would come after Peter, though he eventually admitted anyone could be dealt with. It’d just be hard in this case.

Peter later met with Chloe Jennings, the nurse Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) had selected. Chloe assured Peter that she was there to put his mind at ease, but Peter wanted to go somewhere more private to talk.

Later, Peter disposed of Chloe’s wallet and driver’s license in a dumpster before taking off his gloves – implying that he killed the real Chloe to set up a swap for a fake one.

On Monday’s General Hospital episode, Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) overheard Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) on the phone insisting that she’d protect the baby no matter what.

Ned assumed Brook Lynn was talking to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), so she just let her father think so. In reality, it was Maxie who Brook Lynn was reassuring.

Ned was proud of Brook Lynn for finally taking motherhood seriously and sang a song for her unborn child. Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) was touched and shared some nice moments with Ned, who talked about his excitement over being a grandpa and felt this was a new chapter.

Back with Maxie, she got a visit from Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and needed her help to get Britt home. Maxie suggested Sam could tell Jason that the kids were in trouble, but Sam felt that was cruel and rejected that plan.

Sam insisted that if Maxie needed someone to help run interference, then she’d be glad to help with Peter. She felt Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) could help as well.

However, Maxie eventually hustled Sam out since she had to meet with her new nurse. When the nurse arrived, it was someone Peter had sent to pose as Chloe instead of the real thing.

“Chloe Jennings” (Kimberly J. Brown) greeted Maxie, who let her in the apartment for the interview.

In Nixon Falls, “Mike” aka Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gave Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) updates on how he caught Elijah Crowe (Dan White) with one of the robbers from the firehouse dance.

Nina was taken aback to learn Elijah paid the man’s bail. Sonny insisted Elijah was shady and that Nina couldn’t go out with him, but Nina accepted Elijah’s date offer anyway a bit later.

That left Sonny outraged until Nina explained she wasn’t doing this for the reason Sonny thought. Nina was working an angle, so Sonny decided he was in since there was no changing Nina’s mind.

“Mike” and Nina shook on the deal, so General Hospital spoilers say Elijah may not know what hit him soon!

As other GH news comes in, we’ll bring you updates. Nina and Sonny will grow even closer in the coming weeks, so stay tuned to see how far things go between them.
