General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) may not be able to stop a very public pregnancy announcement, so Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) could end up reeling over Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) new ad campaign and a baby bomb!
GH fans know Sasha revealed her pregnancy news to Lucy, who was quite supportive and saw this as a golden opportunity for Deception. Lucy felt this was “the year of the mother” – and if it wasn’t, she fully intended to make sure it was.
As Lucy gushed about all the celeb moms out there right now and all the pregnant women they could sell makeup to, Sasha offered a reminder. She pointed out that she hadn’t told the father yet and didn’t want to go public with any kind of announcement until she figured out how to handle things.
Lucy offered reassurance, but her phone call after Sasha left the table was troubling. Since Lucy’s already cooking up a new ad campaign called the “Face of Conception,” it seems likely that ad will move forward sooner than Sasha anticipates.
Lucy may not even mean for this ad campaign to go public when it does, but we all know miscommunication is the source of many soap struggles! Then again, Lucy is a businesswoman at heart and values her work at Deception a great deal.
Deception is Lucy’s baby, so she may end up putting it above the actual one Sasha’s carrying.
In other words, Lucy might decide to act first and just ask forgiveness later. There may be some situation where Lucy winds up having to move fast on publishing this ad somewhere and can’t fill Sasha in until it’s too late.
Regardless, there’s no point in Sasha keeping this secret if she’s just going to blab it herself down the road. It seems more likely that the secret will be exposed in a shocking way – and the show just set up an excellent exposure strategy through Lucy’s ad campaign idea.
