General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 19, teases that Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) will need Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) reality check while Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) gets some tough love. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) will also face his next bombshell, which will leave him leaning on Trina Robinson (Sydney Mikayla) in the aftermath.
At The Savoy on Thursday’s episode, a group of nurses will have a blast over a round of drinks.
That’ll probably be Terry Randolph’s (Cassandra James) idea – perhaps as a way to endear herself to the crew now that she’s the co-chief of staff.
Britt will face consequences for her behavior, which could mean feeling like an outsider because she hasn’t exactly been warm and loving around the hospital.
Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy) will return from her trip in time to deliver some guidance, even if it’s tough for Britt to hear.
It’s never too late to turn things around, so Britt may see that she’ll have to try a bit harder to create a positive work environment.
Over with Spencer, he’ll hope he can keep building on his bond with Trina and move out of the friend zone.
From the looks of Thursday’s preview video, Spencer will be well on his way!
It appears a kiss could be brewing between Spencer and Trina before long, so it’s clear that they’re falling hard for each other.
Of course, it wouldn’t be GH without another complication or two, so Spencer will face another shocking blow on Thursday. He’ll appreciate Trina’s support after this setback and should grow closer to her as a result.
Other General Hospital spoilers say Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will keep working on Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma), who screwed up big time as far as his mom’s concerned.
Laura will think Nikolas is one bad decision away from losing everything good in his life, so she’ll deliver a stern warning and hope he gets on a better path.
As for Ava Jerome (Maura West), she’ll mull over the horror of finding her car engulfed in flames and seeing Kiki Jerome’s (Hayley Erin) hospital badge again.
Ava will worry there’s no escaping the stalker, but perhaps the key will be getting out of town until the mayhem dies down.
Spencer was behind some of the madness, but now that strange nurse (Avery Kristen Pohl) is stirring up trouble, too.
Ava assumes it’s all one psychopath’s doing, but the important thing is what she’s going to do next.
After talking to Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom), Ava may think she could use a break – and peaceful Nixon Falls seems like the perfect spot for her getaway!
Look for Ava to make a choice out of desperation before Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) spots a familiar face in the coming episodes.
It all lines up for Ava to be the unexpected visitor Nina receives, so more drama’s about to erupt.
Elsewhere, Carly will whine about her rushed marriage to Jason.
It’ll feel like they’re making all their decisions to put on a show for other people, but Carly will want at least part of this wedding to be for them.
Naturally, Jason might point out that Carly’s life could literally be in jeopardy if they don’t act fast.
The other mob family leaders would rather see Carly eliminated than to see her as Jason’s bride.
If Carly wants to stay alive to get married, they need to do it now! That said, there’ll surely be some ways to make it special for Princess Carly on her big day.
