General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Wednesday, January 27, teases that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) will present Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) with a choice, but he’ll confess he’d be relieved if Carly told him no. If Carly declines whatever plan Jason has in mind, he may feel she’ll be safer and avoid more drama.
However, Carly often clashes with Jason when it comes to certain strategies – particularly their tactics against Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). As a result, Carly may choose the option that’ll cause Jason the most stress! Carly rarely manages to make things easy for Jason, but he does the best he can under the circumstances.
It turns out there’ll be another source of drama for Jason on Wednesday. General Hospital spoilers say Peter August (Wes Ramsey) will publish an article about Franco Baldwin’s (Roger Howarth) tumor making a comeback.
It’ll suggest that Franco could become a threat once again – and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will be mentioned in the story.
Jason won’t like the fact that Sam’s name is being dragged into all this, but there won’t be much he can do once it’s out there. Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will also be upset over Peter’s bold move, but Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will offer support.
Once Nikolas confirms that Franco’s tumor is indeed back, Liz will fill him in on Franco’s murder pact with Jason.
Elizabeth will just hope that Franco can avoid Jason’s deadly wrath, especially now that Peter is stirring the pot. As for Franco and Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), they’ll have a secret meeting about Franco’s treatment.
Franco will ask if Liesl has finally figured out a way to fix him, but Obrecht will still hope she can use Drew Cain’s (Billy Miller) memories to her advantage.
However, Liesl will become concerned after Franco updates her on his deal with Jason – or at least the fact that he told Jason the truth. Obrecht will also find out that Franco mentioned his Drew memories returning to Peter, so she’ll immediately grow fearful.
Once Liesl’s alone, General Hospital spoilers say she’ll make an urgent phone call and warn someone about acting fast. It may be Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) on the other end of the line.
GH fans can expect Liesl to use the pen-clicking method to control Dante’s next moves, so she might click the pen into the speaker on her phone.
Whatever the case, Dante will be ordered to keep Franco safe – and that’s exactly what he’ll do. Peter will tell Dante that he’s about to earn his salary, so it seems Peter will be bracing for backlash.
Once Franco shows up to confront Peter about the article, Dante will play referee and try to keep the situation under control.
At the boxing gym, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will extend an olive branch to Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). GH viewers will recall that Britt got emotional over Maxie and Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) engagement.
Britt couldn’t help but tear up since she witnessed the impromptu proposal, so that eased the tension between Maxie and Britt.
On Wednesday, Maxie will hope to ease it even more, especially since she’s got Peter’s baby on the way. Maxie may acknowledge that Britt is Peter’s sister and will be this child’s aunt, so she deserves a spot in their family.
Since Maxie expects people to accept Peter despite his mistakes, she’d a hypocrite if she didn’t accept Britt despite her own.
Maxie will be willing to move forward peacefully if Britt can do that as well, so they should be on the same page. Of course, things could change once the news of Franco’s tumor breaks.
Britt will know exactly where Peter got his source material since he took Franco’s medical records off the GH database.
General Hospital spoiler say Britt will give Peter a piece of her mind later this week. In the meantime, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) will speak to someone about his or her plans for damage control.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is a contender since he was pretty overbearing during his uninvited trip to Jasper “Jax” Jacks’ house.
Although Valentin may hope to soften Nina following his accusatory visit, Nina will remain wary along with Jax. They’ll know Valentin’s scheming and will want no part of it.
However, Nina will also talk to Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) soon about her story, which she intends to tell Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) since Nina turned it down.
Sasha will insist it’s the best way to hopefully fix her image and steer Deception in the right direction again. Nina will just hope the experience isn’t too rough on Sasha. She’ll have some good luck wishes to pass along before Sasha prepares for her Good Morning America interview.
Later, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) will also have a supportive chat with Sasha, but nerves will kick in sooner or later. Jackie will still be riled over Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) push for a paternity test, so she’ll grumble at Sasha over this interview.
Jackie will need to know if it’s still happening or not.
General Hospital spoilers say Sasha will find her courage and move forward with this GMA appearance, which will bring some shockers. Look for Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) to give Sasha her necklace as a lucky charm toward the end of the week!
Until then, Nikolas will tease a big surprise that he thinks Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) will appreciate. He won’t tell Ava exactly what it is since he’ll want it to be a romantic moment.
It turns out Nikolas plans to propose! Since this is now a real marriage, Nikolas will think it’s high time that they checked all the right boxes.
General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas will be a bit reflective on Wednesday. After hearing about Liz’s dark times with Franco, Nikolas may feel like he needs to embrace all life has to offer with Ava.
As for the half-heart pendant, that might be something Nikolas keeps in the back of his mind as well!
