The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Thursday, June 17, reveals that Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) had an outburst over Justin Barber’s (Aaron D. Spears) legal skills – and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton faced a moment of sad jail cell reflection.
At the jail on Thursday’s B&B episode, Liam suggested to Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) that they may have to face reality since he killed Vinny Walker (Joe LoCicero).
Liam thought they should be prepared for the possibility that he wouldn’t come home.
Hope vehemently disagreed and felt they could leave no room for doubt. Trusting that Liam would come home was getting Hope through this nightmare.
Hope assured Liam that they had to keep believing that the truth would prevail. She acknowledged the challenges they’d faced in the past and felt they would conquer this one as well.
Liam was struggling to have that same hope and was pulled away by the guard before he could discuss the matter any further.
At Forrester Creations, Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) talked to Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) about Liam asking him for help. Thomas thought that seemed crazy, but Ridge argued that Thomas had worked hard to be a better person.
When Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) entered, she was curious about what Ridge and Thomas were discussing. Ridge told her she might want to sit down for this one!
After Thomas mentioned his visit to the jail, he admitted Liam asked him to look out for Hope and the kids. Thomas also relayed that he delivered the news to Hope.
“Of course you did!” Brooke hissed. She ranted about Thomas getting everything he wanted, but Thomas fired back about his best friend getting killed. Thomas assured Brooke that he truly wanted what was best for Hope and her family.
Later, Hope appeared and revealed that she’d been to see Liam. Brooke acknowledged the favor Liam had asked of Thomas, but she wanted Hope’s focus to be on her future with Liam.
Thomas suggested that Liam asking him for help just proved how much Liam loved her.
Over with Liam again, he returned to his cell and thought back to the night Vinny died.
Liam also flashed back to some sweet memories with Hope, including their wedding and some cute moments with Beth Spencer (River Davidson and Madeline Valdez) as well as Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri).
Bill also got a visit from Justin and Wyatt Spencer (Darin Brooks), so he barked orders to both of them. Bill needed Wyatt to make sure the company didn’t fall apart. As for Justin, Bill just wanted him to concentrate on getting him out of there along with Liam.
Bill felt the worst mistake in all of this was Liam’s decision to tell Hope the truth. He pushed Justin to do some legal gymnastics since that’s what Bill was paying him for.
Bill complained since it seemed like Justin was sitting on his hands, but Justin defended himself as Bill and Liam’s attorney.
Bill once again told Wyatt to look after Spencer Publications, but Justin piped up about how he’d been handling things. He argued that Wyatt didn’t know all the ins and outs.
However, Bill needed Justin to work on the case. Justin didn’t want a lecture and insisted he was always working on Bill’s behalf.
“Then work harder, damn it!” Bill yelled. He recalled how he saw Liam’s future flash before his eyes when Liam was standing over Vinny’s body.
Bill envisioned Liam rotting in a cell and ranted about how this was bigger than just his son. This was about Hope and the children, too.
Justin assured Bill that he’d do what he could, but Bill griped about how he had this taken care of. He obviously didn’t approve of Liam’s decision to turn himself in, but Wyatt argued that Liam was a good person.
Bill felt Liam was too good and could spend years in prison for coming clean.
