The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will fake a drunken spectacle and trick Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) in the next phase of his new plan. Let’s discuss what Billy’s up to and how it’ll affect his Newman enemies.
During the week of December 6-10, Billy will intentionally try to seem pathetic in front of Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). He’ll feel confident Sally’s going to report back to Adam about how sad his life looks now – and Sally won’t disappoint! She’ll indeed run to Adam with news about Billy’s apparent psychological damage and depression.
However, Billy will actually be in pretty good spirits all things considered. It’ll still sting that Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) lost faith in him – and Billy won’t like the risk associated with the ChancComm bidding war either. Y&R spoilers say Billy will have a plan to fix all that, but he’ll need Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) assistance.
That’s when Billy will hit a roadblock since Jack won’t be interested in helping his brother with such a vengeful plan. Billy won’t have enough money to purchase ChancComm on his own, so he’ll push Jack to pony up the cash and help. Jack will promptly turn Billy down, so that’ll be a tough blow for him.
It’d be different if Billy was doing this for a motive other than payback, but he’s not really. Jack will get Billy to admit this is about sticking it to the Newmans, so he’ll have to reject the idea.
From where Jack’s standing, this will just be another instance of Billy letting his gambler mentality control his life. Billy is addicted to going after Adam and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), so Jack won’t want to enable that addiction.
After Jack rejects his pitch, Billy will sit at the bar and seemingly drown his sorrows. Adam will come along, so Billy will appear to be plastered as he lashes out as his rival. Billy will probably slur his words and may stumble around as part of this drunken meltdown.
Whatever the case, the truth will be revealed once Adam exits. Billy will actually be stone-cold sober and drinking club soda. He’ll order up another one and feel satisfied over making Adam think he’s losing control.
In reality, Billy will still be working on a plan to take Adam and Victor down. Can Billy pull off his ultimate goal? As other Y&R updates come in, we’ll keep you posted.
