The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) may face a huge curveball down the road. Back before all the cheating issues, Elena once made a strange comment out of the blue.
She talked about what good fathers Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) would make, so even Nate was kind of confused about why she’d mention it.
Elena suggested it was just an observation about what would happen someday, but maybe someday could come sooner than she expects! Let’s talk about how this might play out. For starters, it’s obvious that both Elena and Devon are quite torn.
Elena doesn’t see any hope for a future with Devon, but she’s struggling to let go of what might’ve been. Nate’s trying to be patient though – and Elena certainly feels a nice spark with him.
During the week of January 4-8, Y&R spoilers say Elena will surrender to temptation and heat things up with Nate.
It sounds like Elena and Nate are going to make love again. This time they can do it without all the regrets of betraying Devon, but that doesn’t mean Elena will be completely over her ex.
That brings us to Devon’s conflicted heart. Although Devon has developed a nice bond with Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan), he can’t shake what he feels for Elena either. Devon recently dreamed about both women, so it’s just a matter of which one will win out in the end.
The Young and the Restless spoilers state that as Elena and Nate grow closer, Devon will feel like he might’ve given up on Elena too fast. Part of Devon will wonder if maybe his relationship with Elena could’ve been salvaged.
If Devon had been willing to forgive Elena and give things another try, they might’ve found a way forward.
There’s nothing stopping Devon from going to Elena, declaring his love and admitting he’d be willing to try now. Even with Nate in the picture, Devon can at least tell Elena how he feels. There may come a point when Devon will indeed offer Elena a shot at an “Elevon” reunion.
There’s a good chance Elena will want to take Devon up on that, but what if her father hint becomes a reality? What if Elena is already pregnant by Nate at that point and feels stuck with him instead?
Devon probably wouldn’t be willing to get back together with Elena if she ended up carrying Nate’s baby. Elena and Devon could find themselves back where they started – broken up and brokenhearted.
Of course, Elena’s clue was about both men being good fathers! Amanda could get pregnant by Devon eventually and make this love quad even messier. Whatever the case, it seems like there’s bound to be some baby drama at some point.
