The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that it’s time to talk about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) potential as a pairing. Jack bonded with Sally almost immediately after she came to Genoa City, so fans immediately suspected a “Jally” romance might be on the horizon.
The more bonding Jack and Sally do, the more obvious it becomes that they’re inching toward couple status. Of course, no one has any way of knowing how far Y&R writers will take things.
It might depend on fan reaction, but the point is the signs are there. The building blocks for Sally and Jack’s romance are already happening.
Since Jack’s falling for Sally, we have to ask: Are they really a good match? In some ways, Sally and Jack are surprisingly fun and cute together. Sometimes it can be nice to have couples that just click regardless of age.
There’s a nice vibe in Sally’s scenes with Jack, but we also have to consider things from a long-term perspective.
When it comes to love, Jack’s really looking to get it right this time. He’s been through more than enough heartache and more than enough love interests. Is Sally really the woman Jack wants to settle down with? Are Sally and Jack marriage material?
It’s just tough to even imagine a Jack and Sally wedding. Not to mention there’s a lot Jack doesn’t know about Sally’s dreams for the future, particularly when it comes to the topic of getting pregnant and having kids.
Jack doesn’t want any more children, which is understandable at his age. Jack may be Grandpa Jack before long if Summer Newman (Hunter King) gets pregnant by Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) in the months ahead.
Sally might still want to be a mom someday, so that’s something Jack will have to discuss with her. This is something that caused problems for Jack and his younger love interest Kerry Johnson aka Dominique Carroll (Alice Hunter) as well.
If Sally and Jack don’t agree on the topic of having a baby, that could be a deal-breaker.
There’s no reason for Jack to explore all that yet since he doesn’t expect more than friendship to happen with Sally at this point. Nevertheless, Jack will have to envision his future with Sally down the road and figure out if it’s something that can truly work.
