The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, March 1, tease that Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be thrilled over a surprising arrival at the Chancellor mansion. When Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) walks through the door and greets her daughter, Abby will certainly be excited to see her.
Now that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) has agreed to be the sperm donor, Abby’s feeling good about “Baby Chancellor” – especially since Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) has agreed to be the surrogate. Abby likes having people she loves and trusts involved in this process, so she’ll no doubt convey that to Ashley.
Of course, there could be some issues since everyone is so close to the situation. Ashley may feel like Abby should consider the cons along with the pros – just to be on the safe side.
Since there’s no end in sight when it comes to Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) mission, Ashley may also wonder if Abby really wants to go through with this right now.
Ashley will probably just want to be a good mom and ask all the right questions so that Abby knows what she’s getting herself into. However, Ashley should remain supportive and understanding of Abby’s feelings.
It won’t be until Ashley meets up with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) later that she gets completely honest. It turns out Victor will share some of Ashley’s worries about Abby.
Ashley and Victor might agree that Abby would be better off waiting for Chance – or at least taking a little more time to consider her options.
As for Mariah and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks), they’ll meet with Brittany Hodges (Lauren Woodland) to discuss the surrogacy contract.
The details of that contract will catch Mariah off guard, especially when Brittany suggests it’d be good for Mariah to talk to a therapist beforehand.
Tessa will indicate some concern for Mariah’s emotional well-being and everything that goes into being a surrogate. Much like Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), Tessa will want to make sure Mariah has really wrapped her head around what she’s signing up for.
Doubts will creep in as Mariah wonders if Tessa’s truly OK with this – and Mariah will question herself about what’s right for her as well. The Young and the Restless spoilers say Mariah will have a major decision to make in the coming episodes, so she’ll have to reevaluate.
In the meantime, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) will take an unpleasant walk down memory lane. On Monday, Y&R spoilers say there’ll be a reminder from Amanda’s history that leaves her feeling drawn back to a dark place.
Finally, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will come face to face with someone from his own past in New York. Although Kyle was planning on flying out to see Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner), she’ll show up in The Grand Phoenix lobby and eliminate the need for the trip.
Once Kyle moves beyond an initial burst of nostalgia, he’ll spar with Tara over Harrison Locke’s paternity. Tara will threaten to unleash Ashland Locke’s vengeful power on Kyle, but he’ll stand his ground and insist that a DNA test is happening.
Kyle will be determined to find out for sure if Harrison is his son, even if Tara isn’t on board.
Tara will make a phone call at some point, so she may speak with the infamous “Locke-ness Monster.” Ashland Locke should become a bigger part of this story eventually, so there’s much more drama to come.
